Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

I know its 12 months away but I cannot understand those advocating we go after Harley. We have plenty of cap space now but we will need quite a bit for our younger players as they establish themselves. You only need to look at the past few years to see clubs in all sorts of trouble with...

Autopsy Hawthorn pipped at the post by Port Adelaide

Im in the camp you don't givethe other side any extra motivation. Finals are a game of inches. Who knows how this affected the result? Hope Ginni learns something. Social media can be a very dangerous place, you don't know who is out there watching and listening.

Preview 2024 Semi Final : Port v Hawks, AO 7:10pm Friday 13th Sept

CJ may have a chance. They may like to give him a run with the view if he goes OK and we win he may play in the next final/s. Don't judge him on his game for BH. Its a risk but it maybe taken.

Preview 2024 Second Elimination Final: Western Bulldogs v Hawthorn, 6 September 2024, 7.40pm @ MCG

Hard to tell what CJ was doing out there today. Looked very fumbly. What were his instructions, just get through 4 quarters?? Certainly woudn't be selected on the form he showed today. Guess we wait and see.

Preview 2024 Second Elimination Final: Western Bulldogs v Hawthorn, 6 September 2024, 7.40pm @ MCG

Only worry I have is they may get the jump on us. Watching the last quarter of the North game it was a waltz in the park' Hawks barely tackled, just waited for North turnover. The pressure gauge must have been down to 0-10%.

Autopsy Round 24: Hawks cull the Roos

can someone at the game give an idea of the conditions the game was played under. 26 14 is an outstanding score in any conditions.

    Preview Round 22, 2024: Carlton v Hawthorn, Sun 11 August, 1.10pm AEST @ MCG

McInness should come in. He shouldnt have been dropped for the GWS game. Why he is not given a cosecuetive games I dont understand. His disposal which was his main weakness has improved and he is kicking goals. him and harry are the first to be dropped.I dont understand why. If we are trying to...

Autopsy Round 19, 2024 : Hawks flatten Pies

There were many highlights in this game. My favourite was Chol's second goal. For a player his size to do what he did was amazing. There plenty of improvement left for him if he keeps his nose to the grindstone.

Autopsy Round 17, 2024 : Hawks fall in a hole in Geelong

Before I read all the negatives and those who want to rub salt into there wounds. Sure the result was disappointing however there are sum factors which should be kept in mind. A young team with a 6 day break travelling to Perth and back is not easy task. Playing on a ground that is not AFL...

Autopsy Round 14, 2024 : Hawks skin Tigers

I find it ironic who the player was that tackled Watson. I can imagine what was going through his head. I'd just love to but.

    Preview Round 10, 2024 : Port v Hawthorn, 3:20pm Sun 19th May, AO

Hope we don't get blown away in the first ten minutes. I'm sure the coaches will be empathising this. Pressure is the way play Port. They love an open free wheeling game,

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Jack Ginnivan!

Do you think complaining to the AFL will do any good, I don't. Matter of fact they will heap more pain. ie more complain more pain.

Autopsy Round 5, 2024 - Suns destroy hopeless Hawks

I'm going to forget that game. Early on we had chances to put some scoreboard pressure but we fluffed our chances. The ball was greasy and some of our players tried to do to much in those conditions. As the game went on you could feel the confidence falling. There was a big difference in the...

Game Day Round 3, 2024 : Hawks Vs. Cats Easter Monday edition

Don't know much about quite a few Geelong players. What struck me was how many were in the elite category for tackling. If we are to win today we will have to match there tackling.

Autopsy Round 2, 2024: Hawks go to hell

Regarding Reeves vs Gawn. I have not seen a ruchman cover as much ground as Gawn. He does this week in week out. So of course he is going to get more possessions around the ground but he does this against all ruckmen. And this is the main problem with Reeves he doesn't get around the...

Autopsy Round 2, 2024: Hawks go to hell

In Sam's press conference he said the plan was to keep the ball away from Lever & May. That first quarter was a shocker. The number of possessions we had with no effect was amazing.

Autopsy Round 1, 2024: Hawks fail against Bombers

You can see the reasoning of playing Amon off half back to give more run but a defenders first priority is to defend and if he can't do that he shouldn't be playing in defence.

Autopsy Round 1, 2024: Hawks fail against Bombers

Because of the the ** centre clearance dominance it would be interesting to see how many times after we kicked a goal ** immediately responded with a goal?
