Yeah, sure it sucks. But to paraphrase Dr. Johnson, Disappointment is the interest payment on the enjoyment the club has given us. And hey, haven't they given it in spades? We're the most successful club in the league and while there are departures all around with other clubs this year's minor...
Yeah I'm detecting a significant Brisbane bias in the media. While AFL House wants the money of a national competition it's obvious the VFL era lives on in their hearts. Conversely a Storm flag win in the NRL is just as interesting and celebrated by that League's management as any of a Sydney...
As a Swans fan with 2014, 2016 and 2022 under the belt, I know where you're at. There's so much upside to your team. Be proud. April will be on us before you know it.
So proud of your effort. Brizzy left nothing on the table. As a Swans supporter we know a bit about a GF loss. Your team plays classy football. You'll be back, better faster and stronger and the "National" game will be better for it. Until April keep your chins up.
A win for Collingwood is a defeat for common sense and good taste. But I think I speak for most Swans supporters in saying I'm so proud of you guys, the team and it's supporters. You're making Sydney into an AFL town. Tonight hurts but he proud of your year. Looking forward to the next local derby.
St Kilda played some weird kind of smother-ball game. OK it worked, they won, but that was the most boring game I have seen in a long time. If that's the Saint's new contribution to the game they can F-OFF back to their natural habitat between 14th and 18th on the ladder.
Give 'em heaps guys. You've got pretty much every Swans/Souths fan behind you. I hope the game is perfectly fair with flawless umpiring. If it is, your boys should get the chocolates. They deserve them, after giving us so much exciting footy this year. Good luck.
OK so here's my take on 2016 and how it relates to today. There was never any AFL conspiracy to install the Bulldogs as Premiers that year. The umpiring was substandard and the AFL conceded as much. I have enough faith in Australian society and its people including our umpires to believe that no...
Hopefully the AFL will have enough good taste to not appoint the three umps that officiated the 2016 GF. Or if they do, the umps get it right and square up the ledger. It would certainly go a long way to restoring faith in them and the AFL north of the border.
It hasn't been too bad TBH. We improved a lot, Richmond missed the finals and we only bowed out because our engine room wasn't available. My only hope is that the WB lose the GF in the final seconds to a controversial decision. Then they'll understand why I'll still be pissed about 2016 when I'm...
I know how you guys feel. They stole a flag in 2016 on substandard (not corrupt) refereeing. The AFL review agreed it was substandard. I laugh when I read WB supporters complaining about frees that go against them. If they are as awesome as their supporters reckon they are, let's see them win a...
Good luck guys! I've been death riding Richmond for years which hasn't always been successful but I reckon tonight they've met their match! So proud Gary Rohan has found another gear even higher than he had with us. Apart from a well overdue flag for you guys, the Tiger supporters need to suck...
You know what's creeping me out a bit? I'm starting to get the feeling Richmond will become the fairytale team of the AFL like the Bulldogs were last year. They'll be unable to do any wrong and maybe like last year the umpires will help give the fairytale a happy ending. On the flipside crying...
Get the airport train to Central 10 mins and they probably have buses on that day for SCG. Otherwise same train line to Circular Quay and then there are definately buses to Moore Park (SCG). You'll be the only person not in red and white on the bus but some people love that sort of thing.
