I would be happy with this deal - if Fev is our veteran from next year then only half of this salary will come under the TPP... which should leave plenty of room under the cap to target another star player :thumbsu:
WTF! Surely playing games is the best way to get fit?
Judd has already said he doesn't expect to be back to his best until at least half way through the season...
Perhaps he's spent the last few months learning how to use a computer - apparently he refused to adopt computer-based statistical analysis while coaching at Carlton....
He has looked great so far, but I'm trying to keep a lid on my enthusiasm at this stage...
I recall watching Callum Chambers make his debut in the pre season comp a couple of years ago where he kicked a handy supergoal or 2 - most thought that he was a handy pickup too....
I'm keen if still a spot free.
$20 is ok with me..
although not keen on the prizemoney for last place!
we could see some tanking, which should be a thing of the past as far as Carlton supporters are concerned...

Definitely not feasible for the Blues to go back to Princes Park, but if we do eventually drop the 'ants and have our own affiliated Carlton VFL side, then it would be fantastic to see them play their home games at Princes Park...
It concerns me that Judd has supposedly ruled out Melbourne due to their poor training facilities, as ours are apparently not too flash at the moment either....
Had a quick chat to Dave Cloke at his bar earlier tonight. He was positive about Cam's progress and suggested Carlton's plan was to use him as a tall forward, allowing Waite to be used as a more mobile forward.
btw - Dave was a top bloke! came over and gave us some free pint glasses after that...
No complaints from me! None of the blokes who have been delisted to-date are of the calibre required in order to resurrect our on-field fortunes.
No doubt there are still some equal/lesser players on our list, but they are on borrowed time I'd say...
I was born into a bombers family.
When I was about 5, my uncle (a Blues supporter) was babysitting me and asked if I had a footy jumper - I didn't.
Next thing you know it was down to the local sports store and soon I had a Blues guernsey with Mike Fitzpatrick's number 3 for on the back - and...
I think Pagan would say that the penalties imposed by the AFL were the reason. But regardless of that, I still think that he is isn't bringing out the best in the players based upon their lack of endeavour at times...
I personally suspect that both Pagan and Sheedy might be a bit past it...
Don't know if anyone saw it, but Adam McPhee interviewed on Before The Game last sat night, and certainly didn't come across as the sharpest tool in the shed...
Very happy with the game time he was given.
Ideal opportunity to let him gain some decent gametime against an average team in the bombers.
Can see him being a star in the future. His kicking needs a fair bit of work at this stage...
