Rich is an elite user of the ball. Yes he gets tagged out of games I agree, but when he has it he's as deadly as anyone. Mayes has the potential to be elite... Lets hope his second year delivers it to us.

I for one am wrapt about McGuane. He'd be competing hard to be in our best 22 and would be a definite starter (if he wasn't already) if any of our bigger players were injured. Great age profile vs experience and he cost us zero to acquire.

I think we all agreed that this trade period was all about damage limitation. I think Rob Kerr has been in a very weak position and has done a great job all things considered. He has certainly left nothing to chance. We also have a tonne on second rounders to improve our position further tomorrow
