Anyone have any news on what his role will be? With the likes of Rockliff, Beams and Zorko set in the midfield, will he be a walk in start to that group or will he be vying for midfield time with the likes of Robinson, Bastinac, Hanley, Rich, Christensen, Taylor etc?

Sydney have a tough team to break into. I think he could be one of those rookies that are in and out of the team a fair amount, as well as being a sub candidate. Obviously if the Swans get an injury or two he could become a permanent member of the team.

Cripps for me, Newton's tank isn't the best so he might spend games as the sub or be subbed.

New team (possibly top 4 team = more wins) and new role, combined with NAB form is what people are looking at.

How much do you think he can make? Priced at 455k, he would need to average 105-110 to make 100k before the byes... If he can make that 100k by averaging 105-110, you might as well keep him as a bargain M8 for the season or at least upgrade him last.

The problem with Shaw isn't his average, it's how many games he plays each year.

For some reason 6 months is the rumour going around at the moment. If any player bans are provided 6 months is a complete mockery, Saad got 18 months for having a drink with a banned substance in it.

Add Heath Shaw to that list as well.

North have a few aging mids in Harvey 35, Dal Santo 31 and Wells 30... Swallow is 27, the captain and a clearance machine, i'm sure he'll be around in the mids for a few years to come.

I know which way i would go. Player 3 (Simpson) has missed 3 games in 9 years (195 out of 198 games), player 2 (Shaw) has played 1 full season in 9 years (167 out of 198 games) and player 1 (Smith) has only had one season of premium scoring.

If he wasn't in the leadership group i would agree, but the club clearly has faith in him.

With the lack of rookies down back, 100k profit is still 100k profit. At 370k he doesn't make a premium upgrade, but if a rookie shows up at round 6-10 on the bubble you could easily downgrade. Alternatively if you have 150k cash from other trades it could be an easy premium defender trade.

Macmillian is 270k... Have you guys been going on that he is 370k? Haha

It really does depend on the scores he produces and in what order they come. 2 or 3 early 85 scores, could see him make that 100k by round 6 or 7. I'm not 100% on him by any means, but he is in my team as a replacement for Waters, who was a similar price.
