Don’t let the truth get in the way of another quality Cromulant rant/dig at another poster.
If you were referring to my comment, you will find out that I said he was part of a group of players who could either be delisted or on the fringes of the best 22 within 3 years. He’s more likely in the...
Sam Draper is a train wreck of a ruckman. His stats back that up. ROB is far superior. But hey, let’s not let the facts get in the way of our recruiting staff.
Solid effort. The glaring issue here is Curtin. Play him forward and that front half looks light on for pressure/speed. Quite top heavy. And Rash ain’t exactly a ‘pressure’ type player. That forward line looks much better with Keays in place of Curtin. Will be very interesting to see how he goes...
Calm down. Where did I say he was a potato? My opinion is he will be a depth player. Yes, he’s played 9 games and I haven’t seen enough to suggest he’s going to make it. I also think he lacks any elite attributes to take his game beyond honest workhorse. That’s not a far fetched notion at all...
If we are a fair dinkum side in the next 2-3 years, the following players likely don’t see much time in the team at all or are delisted within the period:
Shoey
Jones
Dowling
Berry
Pedlar im still holding out hope for. But the fact he can’t hit the side of a barn door says he’ll probably...
I think Bond has a serious role to play going forward as someone we can deploy to oppo’s best small forward. Some tough calls for the selection panel this year.
I think Smith and Murphy get squeezed out by the new recruits anyway. But agree that probably four of Bond, Curtin, Taylor, Dowling, Peds and perhaps Nank will find it hard to crack round 1 side. ANB, Cumming, Peatling and Draper all playing round 1 is my guess.
Shoey and Jones are that far...
Thilthorpe’s knee will have to be managed for the rest of his career unfortunately, such was the severity of it. Whether that has anything to do with why he’s missing day one of training remains to be seen though.
Wtf ? He got turned inside out by forwards. I made the point he’s not athletic enough for certain positions. That’s far from trolling. He’s far from proven. Fact.
I saw him get turned inside out due to lack of athleticism. Hence why he isn’t a defender. He lumbers around. As you do at that height though. If he can get his tank up, perhaps he can play wing or roaming half forward
Jury is out on Curtin though. Which is understandable given he’s played stuff all games and looked to be injured. Also, his lack of athleticism and the sheer fact no one knows where to play him suggests we just can’t tell if the lad will end up in Smith’s territory (who you can guarantee will be...
It’s not guesswork when you look at his body composition and listen to Tony Bamford and people within the club. I’ve heard from multiple people (including a player agent) that senior players and staff at the club viewed his year as very ‘lazy’ and disappointing. The club didn’t tell him to tank...
Ok, let me rephrase it. He clearly doesn’t have the elite standards to turn that talent into a meaningful career.
YET.
As in he clearly needs to change and hopefully will.
The context is that he clearly took the piss with his preparation/standards/attitude. His fitness went backwards in an elite environment. An indictment on him and the club.
