Not to be nitpicky (although this is FJGD after all), but the width of the gap between the side stripes and the main set of stripes is a bit wider whereas in the image its equidistant.
On the main menu for the round = red on white
Inside the match profile = yellow on red
On guernseys = red on red
On front page of website = use of red on red right next to yellow on red
Clash kit = blue on yellow
Some might call it versatility, but I call it inconsistency - it seems...
Yeah its really growing on me now. Went in store to check it out in-person and noticed the saw(teeth?) are slightly curved rather than straight, a detail that you can't quite see on the digital images well but make it a little less jarring.
From the front, the home effectively looks like a...
Some of these are goated :fire:
Saw a similar on marketplace and messaged him to ask where he'd actually got it made up and sure enough just said ebay. It's kind of inventive how they've made some of these - the guy deadset thought it was a 1999 away lmao
The look of this one is on-par with better logo refreshes of late like the Swans. Really just feels like its cut from the same tree as theirs and the Melbourne logo which have arguably aged fine or will do so over the next 10+ years.
At the end of the day they're going for something here that...
Anything more revolutionary would've been sacrilegious, and given we knew they wouldn't just so an SFGiant and modernise the exact current logo I think it's acceptable.
Ditching the floating motto/ribbon probably the only offensive thing but serves the purpose of a "badge" far better now just...
Rounded points was always a downside to the 150 logo. Plus the floating wreath + text created issues with application and scalability. IMO the new logo is a better version of this one - moving to the text just saying "St Kilda" is also a plus for the brand.
In fact - they don't even have to do their job, I've done it for them! (And will do so each year going forward as a resource)

This isn't a trend. The Carlton, Adelaide, Freo kits are one-off kits (that Carlton one from 7 years ago lol), the GWS and Essendon ones are clash kits. Gold Coast are the first ones to actually do this to their primary kit.
My main gripe - if the jumper as mocked up before true, they have somehow made their guernsey even WORSE, more soulless and more training jumper-like than it was before. I didn't even realise that was possible.
The "S" Suns? Where is this football team from? They're emphasising the "Suns" part of the brand by using "S" - that they're already emphasising with the wordmark "SUNS". This is insanity and just incredibly dumb.
Anyway, here's what I could mock up in a 5 mins with what they pooped out, a...
I can see they tried to do something cool, but again and again with these rebrands/new logos as of late - horrible execution. So thin and its hard to see how this could stand out from a distance.
If their idea for a new kit to take them to the next era is slapping this logo right on top - sack...
