I completely agree.
I thought he was very honest and was quite clear that he wanted another role in footy that wasn’t coaching. You could see he had genuine interest and was genuinely excited by it.
Well that’s what I thought anyway.
Who knows what the future holds but I doubt he will be...
That’s awesome. Pretty happy about that, is in line with my comments post the Grand Final that if it were time for change that I hoped he would stay in a different capacity.
If his write ups are right, this kid lives and breathes footy.
If that’s accurate, then I’m very confident this kid will do the work required. Might even surprise next year.
If he was in Melbourne for school for 3 years and played footy there… why is he an academy pick still?
I thought AFL introduced rules for amount of time developing a player because of GWS some years ago.
“The players Dattoli idolises are midfielders: Lachie Neale ("He knows what he's going to do before he gets the ball"), Chad Warner ("He drives his legs so well and I try to do that") and Isaac Heeney ("Another mid who can go forward and take marks").”
Will be playing with two of them...
My Dad saw them on the same Deep Purple tour in 1971 but in Sydney.
I wasn’t aware that Bad Company came to Australia so there you go.
On my Spotify playlist!
Yes as well as coaching and umpiring.
If he would have add value to the senior side he’d have gotten a game.
He was no where near it.
It’s possible that he didn’t put as much effort in as others. Attitude comes in different flavours It’s also possible he just wasn’t very good.
He may have...
Hopefully we could see some movement on Warner over the next month now Parker’s salary is confirmed to be off our cap.
We could potentially upgrade his 2025 salary in return for a 1 or 2 year extension.
If that’s not in the works, or even agreed to in principle right now, then I reckon he will...
Was largely developed up forward for the year which is more unfamiliar.
In his one game as the number 1 ruck in round 8 vs Frankston he had 35ho, 17 disposals, 6 marks, 3 tackles.
His other notable games were when he played 2nd ruck.
Bullants 20ho, 12 disposals, 4 marks, 5 tackles
GWS 15ho, 14...
Given their ages, I’d move Lloyd on (just turned 31) rather than any of those.
That’s not meant to be disrespectful to Lloyd, just makes more sense as others can cover his role and have a far longer playing career in front of them.
