Well it was quiet in here. SMFH. Why doesn’t it surprise me it was you. I’m out. I’ll PM the ones that matter.

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

I said I was gone, but it’s actually very tame in here this year - so far. From Mick the Agressor I got, FWIW; There’ll be an early live trade. RIC-NM is my guess. We will draft……….Draper. He’s the burst mid to replace Crippa, who ‘thinks he can play another X amount of years’. He doesn’t...

Not long now folks. Experience though tells me it’s time to hot foot it before the sharks come out and this place becomes a feeding frenzy for the unwashed desktop snipers. (Happens every year for the past 10+ years - don’t tell me I’m wrong) Last word from me. (Top 10 without bids) Rich -...

. This and what Ferris said. If he stars early on, bonus. This is my exact reasoning for trading down for Smillie and a KPD, wishfully being Trainor. Both are players who duplicate current proficiencies, but both who could lead us for the next 10 years after that.

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

Yup - Nail, head. Sam Mitchell and Greg Williams also say hello. Jagga is probably the quickest for example - runs all day but is not super quick - but I challenge you to get the ball off him. Speed is for those little tiprats that run around the forward line. If you want to draft a mid, pick...

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

Jimmae - where’s your love for Hotton coming from. Frankly, I didn’t see a lot in those 3 games he played early. Seems like the Hotton clan is a bit fragile also with his brother getting cut through injury. Also - Would you not look for a big if you’re losing 38 and obviously upgrading. Need a...

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

Heard the same. Order of preference is pretty correct. Cannot miss, but, FOS may be gone. Trade for 2 very much still on the table. Plenty of time for teams to placate NM. As for Jimmae’s summation, he’s right - Good trade offers for 3 WILL come, especially if NM stay at 2. RIC as an example...

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

Jagga Smith will look good in Blue. Excluding Bids - I think Order will be Lalor, FOS (NOT NM), Smith, Draper, Reid, Tauru, Langford and Smillie, Armstrong, Trainor, Travaglia, Allan, Dodson, Whitlock ……………. First 9 are sourced from a LM, the rest is speculation/opinion.

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

FOS is my this years ‘Vanilla’. called Walsh out as Vanilla, FOS will be a star also. It’ll just take me time to trust him like I do #18. But man I’ll barrack my wooly A off for the kid if we select him.

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

I’ve just got an uneasy feeling we’re going to get the Luke Ball selection out of this crop. Good but others picked after are much better. And to me that’s FOS. He feels to me like a skinny HBF to be honest. He’s only slight and doesn’t have big hurt factor. He can deliver well but it’s not...

    I think BRI are done.

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

Could always trade back for 6 and 11 I believe. Get Smillie and a KPD or an outside runner.

… Smillie is now 195.5. KP size.

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

What if Richmond take FOS. North don’t trade out and take the Viking. Carlton take………………??
  15. Sheephead

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

Yep, I’d trade down too. We don’t lose at 3, but we wouldn’t lose at 6 and 11 either, this draft is sooooo deep. Tigers would most likely still get their man at 3, either FOS or Smith. In fact I think Rich would trade 6, 18, 20 for 3 and 38. Gets us everything Austin wants and moves us away...

    Respect Coona.

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

North won’t pick the Viking at 2. They have a few options to trade back. Another reason I think we’ll get FOS. I’m hopeful North trade with Tigers as I think the others take Jagga if they trade up.

2024 (Tenacious) Annual Carlton Board Phantom Draft

Hey T. Great job mate. You may have missed my earlier post. Brisbane will take Darragh Joyce and Darcy Craven with their two picks. Promised delistings made by the club earlier. Cheers.

Wrong person to quote. I’d love Smillie. Think he will be Crippa-lite. Forgotten man.

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

Don’t overthink it Austin and Co. Lalor - Win O’Sullivan - Win Smith - Win Draper - Win WE DONT LOSE NO MATTER WHO WE PICK.

When Young first got here, he was very good. I still have faith in him and at 2 metres could play 2nd ruck to Tom. Jack as FB is interesting.

Yeah, nah mate. The Shagpies delisted Oleg and Johnson and will pick them up as rookies. Hawks did the same with Gunston. Reckon they had to clear spots for certain targets in the draft. Would it be not right to draft say a Markov ie a player who has a rookie promise to return to their club...

Damn. Hard luck for the kid. Would have been a good get, then the Muppets probably wouldn’t have delisted him either. Oh well, get me the Barristers kid then.

What about James Van Es as that defensive piece. Been held back by an ankle injury, but the screws have been removed and he’s had a season of rehab. Good size, only 20 and was rated in his draft year.

I reckon we’re going to Jagga a good one.
  27. Sheephead

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

More than comfortable with Jagga at 3. Give him #7. Ben Campo #16. Lucas can have Bradley’s old number. I can hit up short targets. Speaking of which - Where is Ferris anyways??

It’s a beautiful day, Sam Day in fact. Lock him in T. Back to Soapy I think.
  29. Sheephead

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

Two things. Better to have the ball than not, and, Cripps is 29, Hewett getting older, just lost Kennedy, you have to keep topping up the mid bucket with the best available options. We also need to keep investing in KPD. The back 6 wins Premierships. Hence my absolute willingness to trade...

    Analysis 2024 National Draft

… ‘Coz I’m not pretty enough’. He’s a very good player, but not he’s not what armchair experts want. Like Smillie, he gets no love but will be very good IMO.
