Full season highlights for Jagga Smith, the most consistent performer in this years draft pool. He was a relentless accumulator of the footy no matter the opponent or the level he played at, and displayed some elite AFL level attributes along the way. He may not ultimately end up being taken at pick 1, but he's the most risk free of the elite prospects at the pointy end of the pool.

We will be taking Smith, he predominately wore number 7 and Chugga is gone so it just makes sense. Yes he did wear 9 a bit but that's taken and no one wears 63.

Seriously though how could you go past him if he is still there.

I can't see a world where we take Langford. He's the opposite of everything the club has publicly stated we're looking for.

He may well end up the best player in it, but he's the worst list fit by a country mile.
I think in the scenario that FOS goes at North’s pick, we’d be much more likely to take Smith.

But I think it’s more than a 0% chance that we do take Langford, despite his lack of pace. And while that lack of pace means he’s not the perfect fit, I think there are definitely worse list fit players who will go in the top 10.

Like dow over ldu? Sure mate

PS I’d be pretty happy with Langford at pick 2.
So you should be. Langford is the best at many things in this pool with too many making like his sprint speed is a big deal around here because of the raging hard ons for 'speed' and only leg speed at that.

Langford doesn't play slow. He creates space has an amazing kick amazing vision and is a brilliant mark for his size too. Best long and short kick of the top bunch. If north don't figure out a way to get Tauru by trading down you couldn't be disappointed with Langford at all. Don't think north can lose unless they overpay with 2 for Tauru

100% agree.

His running bounce total shows he doesn’t play slow. Marks it better than anyone.

He’d slot into HB from round 1 very nicely.

Stats averages for Smith, Draper and FOS for their 23 and 24 years for comparison (if anyone can tell me what the DC column is for, I'd be most grateful):

I'd love him here. Think he'd also play the half forward and link in the transition chain we've been so abysmal at really well.

For those of you questioning Jagga. Watch how well he hits up leading targets in the forward 50. Something we don’t have. Weights them beautifully.

i believe it’s Finn or Jagga, but every time I watch Sid I just doubt my confidence a little bit. If he sorted his kicking (and his somehow strange handballing) feel like he could easily end up the best of the 3. I just don’t have much confidence that being the case
He may have already fixed his handballing - if you watch his SANFL highlights, the handballing is a lot less loopy. Those loopy examples came more from the champs per memory. It may be, and he would not be the first to do this - Daicos was notorious for it - that he even perhaps intentionally made his handpasses a bit loopier against the lower quality teams in order to get the guaranteed one-two. Daicos and Sheezel do this even now in the AFL.

This kid is one of the smartest footballers I’ve ever seen. Unbelievable balance, agility and decision making.

I judge footballers by how often they can face 50/50 situations and turn them into clear wins for your team and he does it so often, pouncing on loose balls, befuddling opponents and finding the teammate in the best position.

The best thing is that he basically directs his teammates on how to get into the best position to benefit from his possession. I just think he and Walsh would make such a great pairing, reliably racking up 60 touches per week alongside Cripps doing what he does.

He just looks every bit the multiple all Australian to me.

Smillie is now 195.5. KP size.

If we weren't looking to add speed to our midfield, Smillie would be the Cripps heir apparent. Man, I wish we had the Tigers draft hand.
