Mr Park is away next week. Iā€™m thinking of having a Pies finals marathon in his absence. QF and then PF, to build up my strength for the GF.

But Iā€™m still a bit scared to watch it. What if we lose?ā˜¹ļø

I donā€™t think you will be disappointed at the end of the last episode šŸ˜‰

Without knowing the result ;)

I'm fairly confident we'll outplay em and win, there's an aura of 'getting it done' about this club now.

In the past that would be a fair question - nowadays have faith - maybe set up a big screen at Cwood HQ - you'll have support if things look tough.

BTW - I'm still genuflecting when I pass the MCG in the train - I'll do an extra one for you!

You should have a Pies finals marathon when he's there and make him watch, to get even for last year. :p

Weā€™re still having mini-arguments about Ollie Henry. I canā€™t stand him, and canā€™t let it go.ā˜¹ļø

It's a great feeling not having to wish away the weeks to get back to Rd 1 to see if we can go again. This year I'm quite happy to let time slow down while we enjoy the Premiership honeymoon.

Fascinated to see how we approach the pre-season, though. How do you motivate the squad after 2 years of such rapid ascension? Apart from the 'building good habits' mantra.

Given that our Senior Coach and 2 Senior Assistants have both been involved in three-peats and multi-flag runs either in a playing or coaching capacity (or both), I'd wager we're pretty uniquely positioned to be set up to not have a hangover.

So it's finally hit >hard< with both euphoria and cruel blunt reality of the past.

Finally.

We win, and we win with total merit.

After all the years and decades of being so close only to be cruelly denied, and rarely euphoria realized, as a rusted on Pie.

Usually stoic, and ride those GF losses with immediate pain, to rise again with time and again hope only to be extinguished.

Not this time, not this time.

I admit, I haven't contributed a lot to this thread, but this video at the end, it got me.

At the end, in my solitary, in the last 15 minutes I have broken down in a river of tears of both euphoria and letting go of the past of the all too often pain. Only just now to compose myself in the last couple since my childlike selfish cry my guts outs, to share this with you all.

If you haven't seen this I hope you enjoy and finally let go of your pain like I have. I hope it means as much it does to you as it does to me.
That video was absolutely brilliant! Fascinating to see all that went on.

Anyone who hasn't watched it, give it a go!

The Premiership cup tour is about to begin :D

I just watched the full replay for the first time last night - it's taken me that long to get over the trauma of those tight moments!!
When the siren sounded there was relief after decades of coming oh so close and near misses from 1964-2018
