Setterfield was immense against the Gold Coast.

I just can't believe it's taken since 2017 when Jobe retired that we actually got a big bodied mid into the club.
Essendon has literally held itself back for the last 6 years not getting such a player. Mitch Hibberd regardless.

Will be interesting to see how Setterfield and Stringer work together as the season goes on.

Stringer is playing as a permanent forward from now on i thought

yeah.
I doubt we see Stringer do much more than 25% centre work. I'd be surprised if he does any in the early rounds.
Still a good card we can play if we need a quick clean break from the centre if he still has that ability.

Setterfield - Shiel - Stringer at a centre bounce would be a strong setup to counter the bigger sides (Cripps, Walsh, Kennedy for example)

Clown McClure . This is so good. Also preceded to have a crack at essendon bringing back tippa

i often comment that the networks should move away from the ex-players who drone on and offer nothing in the way of entertainment when calling a game.
Darcy, Ling, Brown, Dixon, Johnson, Jobe, etc - all terrible.

Then you get clowns who have jobs for reasons unknown who are just as bad.

Will's not a big mid. He's been squeezed out of two teams who have had big inside mids stock surplus.
What is he if not only a big inside mid?

There’s 1 reason McClure has a job and friends in the industry.
His old man.

Sam's dad is Geoff McClure.

Mark McClure is the former player

Satire is clearly not my strong suit.

It’s funnier to think they are related
