OK, I've removed about three pages of posts.

Please do not use this thread to speculate about Oliver's private life – medical or otherwise.

Regardless of the veracity of your rumour, or what you know/have heard, if it's not public knowledge, just don't post it.

I don't want to turn this place into Demonland, but if you can't see the potential harm that this sort of rumour-spreading can cause (regardless of your intentions), then perhaps it's best if you take a bit of a break.

Thanks.

Clarrie - Dee for life
Trac - Dee for life
Viney - Dee for life
Fair midfield methinks
Me - very happy
Gawn Dee for life! Unless you are separating rucks from the inside mids of course, but I’m not so he goes in

Being a one club player would be pretty special imo. Especially if you go through all the different stages

Yeah. He’s really seen the lot.

So have I really, but he’s admittedly seen if from a bit closer

I reckon Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis whilst extending their careers and building their resume's would kinda regret leaving to an extent because while everybody knows they are hawthorn legends they'll always have the second team tacked on at the end

A third for Lewis if we count Casey.

I’m sure Jordy doesn’t mind. Playing half back flank for Melbourne was probably a career highlight. I remember when he first came to us he said on 360 that it was the first time he had taken a kick in since under 14s

Doing the kick ins is definitely the highlight of any afl career. Winning 4 premierships has nothing on kick ins. I'm not even sure why may left the Suns, we must have offered more kick ins.

Names his biggest influences at the Dees as Brendan McCartney, Billy Stretch and Goody.

Love the rock analogy. Thoughts board mindfulness guru, Proper Gander?
Big rocks! Love it. I’m putting that one on the same level as praise and blame are all the same.

It’s an improvement over the four squares of the football club moment, no doubt

The hardest skill in the AFL is finding the footy. Oliver does that better than anyone. 34.5 touches a game. And he leads the league in contested possessions, clearances, and not to mention the afl coaches award. So the coaches value him as the best also.

I hear what you're saying about not hitting the scoreboard but to me it's not a big deal. He can't do everything. Out of Petracca's 21 misses this year, how many of them resulted in goals to the opposition from kick-ins? A missed shot at goal is a turnover, and incredibly momentum sapping. I'd much prefer Oliver's 2.6 than Petracca's 9.21. Of the 21 the opposition has probably kicked 8 or 9 goals from the kick-in. It's a killer.

I could see a world where petracca matches Oliver but he'd have to match him for consistency and he'd have to sop turning the ball over by missing easy shots at goal.
Christ I'd get a 2 months suspension if I told you what I really thought of this post.

So there's a promo going on atm $13 memberships for 13 hours. Obviously celebrating Oliver's signing, basically gets you into the remaining home matches general admin which is essentially Collingwood and carlton's games. I bought my missus one, though I doubt she'll use it, still a good deal.
Which kinda makes the total mship numbers irrelevant

Membership deals are like mortgage loans. There is a loyalty tax applied

That opening line "the hardest skill is finding the footy"... :tearsofjoy:

Literally one of the easiest these days with no taggers, players playing ring-a-rosey handball, getting credited a stat for kick ins etc
