Sh*t lazy argument. Going at 6 a game which is one of the best in the comp. He's not our only mid
It's not a lazy argument the facts a there , and yes I agree it's a collective group .We thought it would solve our issues last week we we're blaming the ruck in Nank.

Clearance stuff belongs nowhere near here. It's like trying to blame a team's scoring issues on the leading goal kicker. Taranto isn't the problem

Agree we've got a s**t ton of problems and he's the least of them
Yup, he does a **** ton of work
Playing 90% game time with out next mid even close to that is Hopper at 80% and Prestia at 75%

He had a team high 7 score involvements, 6 Tackles, 30 pressure acts, and 12 contested possie only person better was Hopper with 13

He also ran the most in the game at 16k’s

Taranto and Hopper are leading our midfield but they can’t do it on their own
A lot of passengers atm

Taranto is a big problem, if bont and similar mids are 10, Taranto is 4.
when he does get the ball he either makes a shit kick or a very small handball.
it’s like Cotchin of 2015. sonsie was magic in close, Taranto is like a dump truck.
he is slow, slow to react, missed a sitter (as did cotchin) which could’ve put us level with Sydney at the time.
my post is harsh and I’m not blaming just Taranto. We have way too many underperforming players.
maybe our 3 premierships have cooked our players.

Maybe take a look back at comments around Prestia start at Richmond. Literally the same. Slow, can't kick, plodder and add in too short.

100%. Low hanging fruit hanging shit on Taranto but he's probably leading our bnf. The issue is the majority of his team mates are playing shite

Taranto is doing everything expected of him when we recruited him and outside of his mate Hopper the support he is getting has been poor.

I should really take my late fathers advice and not argue with stupidity

He was a very smart man

We'd be doing a lot worse this season without Taranto it looks like the cliff has come for a lot of our older players.

Feel free to have a peak around here onwards with some highlights below - Player Watch - #3: Dion Prestia

Funnily enough these start from April 24th were just finished round 5. Same same. It really shows that this supporter base will always complain. We were 5-0 and people were still pissed that he wasn't instantly elite. What hope do Toronto and Hopper have?

so hows pick 6 for a small, average skilled and injury prone midfielder who finds the ball a meh amount looking???
i think he need to go back to VFL and find some form, Miles clearly is a better player..
Can this guy score a goal, looks clueless, think he would look for an option if he was in the goal square. Really should have done better on a couple of occasions especially for someone of his supposed class.
I highly doubt a bloke on $800k has ever played a worst game and worst 6 consecutive games.
Even I am surprised by your shitness.
Gonna hurt watching Prestia struggle and Brodie dominate for the next ten years
What is not in question is Dion's ability to win the ball.
But what is very suspect is his disposal and I'm 90 per cent certain it's never been much chop.

Take out the exact pick/$$$ amounts and the 'small' and you could just about copy and paste these into this thread. Think Prestia turned out alright, so maybe we should give these two gives a little bit more time before calling it a failed trade?

Not to mention Prestia moved into a team that was gelling and everyone knew what they were doing, he just to find his spot in it. How the **** is Toronto supposed to do that? We don't have a ruck. He can't even get to build that relationship in the middle. The entire team is in and out and incistentent. Very hard to find your spot when its like that.

“Brodie dominate for the next 10 years” lmao

This is gold.

Taranto is doing exactly as Taranto has always done, accumulates but needs to stay safe with his disposal.
I'm sure the club knew this, we are supposed to be slicing the game open through the players he is giving it to.
Yep and that’s the connection piece currently missing , the likes of sonz should be joined at the hip with TT

Took Dion ages to settle, I remember Dimma using him as a ‘run-with’/tagging type role against Brisbane in a game in 2017 because they were that desperate for him to have an impact. He turned it all around after that though.

They used him like that for a lot of the season. Said things along the lines of him being more effective when his starting position was dictated by another player.
