I know that my team is young and it doesnt bother me. But i dont think you get what im saying. Im not denying your history but the fact is that everything pre 1990 was vfl and therefore doesnt count when talking about the afl history. Your clubs were successful back in the vfl but the fact is it is afl now.

So does that mean we should rename the John Coleman medal? He did nothing in AFL. The Brownlow? The Norm Smith? Should we chuck people out of the Hall of Fame?

The AFL is the VFL, renamed.

*No new competition was ever formed

* in 1990, they simply re-named the already existing competition the AFL to reflect the fact there were now teams form all over Australia in that comp

* The AFL celebrated it's centenary in 1996. It was the 100th year of the VFL/AFL.

* The AFL official histroy goes back to 1897

*AFL history IS VFL history. A new name does not make a new competition. If you change your name tomorrow, you are still the same person.

Those are the facts. They cannot be disputed. There is no argument. There is no debate. There is nothing to respond to. That's just how it is.

Accept it.

yeah i think that the medals should relate to the afl not the vfl. As for hall of fame people from the wafl, vfl, sanfl and afl r recognise.

If all the medals are going to relate to the vfl and youse all want to bring up your vfl past y dont we get rid of the interstate teams and go back to a vfl. FACT is it wouldnt survive without the interstate teams. So lets make it a true afl competition.

i would debate that if you change your name and you grow some more arms and change your personality and people change their opinion of you, that you are a different person. Your only the same if nothing has changed

There is no argument, there is no debate.

The VFL and the AFL are the same competition. The comp began in 1897, and no new competition was ever formed since then. All that happened was that rhere was s name change ot reflect the fatc that new teams had joined that same competittion.

It is fatcually, legally, statisticlaly, and officially the same competition. There is nothing to debate. You just "want' the AFL to be a different competiton than the VFL, but "wanting" it doesn't make it so.

What, are you an idiot?

So, you're not the same person as you were, whrn you were an infant because you've changed?

Does that means (according to you) that you're a different person every second because you are changing every second (getting older etc)

So, does that mean you are 98,098,765 different people to reflect the 98 million seconds of your life? Hahahahahahahaha.

You're the same person. We all are. The VFL and AFL are the same comp. You don't create a new history every time the competition changes? LOL. It's the same comp, now in it's 109th year.

Deal with it. They are the facts. There is nothing to debate.
