So Cummins probably won't even travel to Perth for the 3rd ODI after already having had a break since June and skipping a series in England.

It makes you wonder why we should actually care about that match at all given Australia don't care enough to put out their strongest side.

It's pretty disrespectful to the WA crowd in particular, hope they don't expect too many to fork out their money to watch a match that Australia don't seem to care about

There was a bloke around 2016-17 on the Roar who did an analysis of Maxwell's shield stats and actively demonstrated the opposite; Maxwell made more runs when his team was in trouble, in defiance of his IPL reputation.

He got that 201* when we were more than up shit creek.

You're welcome to your opinion, but it's incorrect.

The same thing with 'Ponting only made runs because he hid behind Langer and Hayden'

Deep into his career he was averaging about 80 coming into bat when the score was less than 30.

MCG had a trivia for todays game

What is a Fact about Glenn Maxwell?
1. He has an Indian passport (dual citizen)
2. He has a certification/almost complete his teaching qualification
3. Hit a hole in one on a golf course.

The answer surprised me.
I would’ve said 3 as the obvious answer but if the answer surprised you I’ll lock in 1.
How did I go?

Maxwell has a part Indian wife doesn't he? That may have helped him to dual citizenship.

Don’t think India allows dual citizenship.

From what I know of his wife (I know a couple of her cousins), he was at least raised and when through school in Melbourne resulting in her being an Aussie citizen. Cannot confirm where she was born though.
India do not allow dual citizenship, however they do offer Over Citizenships of India (OCI), of which I am one. Minimum requirement is a grandparent born in India. Whilst the wife would probably qualify for an OCI, Maxey would not.

EDIT: A quick google of the wife, and it says she was born in Melbourne. So no possibility of the wife being a citizen

Not like the team we put out on the park yesterday was close to full strength. alot of passengers in there.

I thought it was a cracking game. Curator got the 3 votes, that pitch was close to a perfect odi wicket
I thought it was a great game which is what I meant by my comment. Australia looked to be cruising and then pakistan took some quick wickets and suddenly the game was on. Even though Australia had 20 overs to get 19 runs which should be done comfortably, Pakistan only needed two more wickets which made it uncomfortable.

It just kind of shows that the runfests which comprise most of cricket these days aren't the sort of contests people like watching. Give me a deck which lets the bowlers in a bit and that'll produce an interesting match, whether we're talking T20 or ODI's or a test match.

And no, a low and slow deck with most of the runs scored through third man or via deflections in which players who want to attack are penalised is not a good deck. It just creates attritional cricket, which bores any particular audience.

I'm looking at you, England, when I say this. If you produce the sort of deck Ian Bell or Al Cook could bat forever on, that's boring for the majority of cricket fans. A fast deck with regular bounce; a turning deck with consistency; a green deck with good movement in the air for ODI's ant T20's; something more challenging for tests, and you'll see a lot more interest in those formats again.

Aaron Hardie probably very relieved we got the win.

Needing 2 runs an over, he backs away and exposes his stumps, getting clean bowled in the process
He is struggling as he does not know his position...up and down the batting order....he is a part time bowler but the selectors want to make him into a genuine all rounder..he is a batter firs IMO
