I am pretty happy with the team changes. We have been too tall for too long except when forced i.e. against Melbourne. We really need to take the game in during the defensive transition, have been absolutely terrible there. I would love to see Deledio behind the ball for that reason as he is such a great user. I feel we just need a good quarter to get our mojo back.

I think the team selected should be good enough to get the job done against the eagles. Not sure Lobb could ruck three weeks running but Vardy/Petrie aren't exactly dominant rucks and he would prob have their measure around the ground with his running capacity.
Having said that I wouldn't be surprised with a last minute in of Simpson for one of HH/Corr/Tomlinson

Its clear that Leon's priority in giving SJ further games is to give him a send off then actually picking a side to progress us through finals.
He's just too slow, fumbly and cumbersome to be risking in a final. Will be a liability.

If we progress, then hopefully Dev Smith is fit enough to play. Because Deledio & SJ in the one forward line this week looks old-man heavy.
Therefore it's an absurdity that SJ is in the side and not Devon.
Not so sure a 30 & 34 year old makes it old man heavy. We only have 3 30 year olds in the side and the rest of the forward 50 is something like this: 20, 27, 24, 21, 19 & 23

Out of interest, if there is a late change, is there a rule that says the replacement must be a named emergency or could we theoretically bring in Smith as s late change?
