Number 7 is a batting position, and as such, expected to produce runs. It is usually occupied by wicketkeepers because their batting ability demands it. As well as Carey is keeping, unless he starts putting runs on the board, his position will be tenuous.

They average is normally the lowish 30s though not mid 40s like regular bats. You're not getting the same consistency. just expect him to bat better than this though.
