I have a friend who is relatives with Merv. Back in the 90s they were having a big day party, got a ton of noise complaints and the police were called. They walked into the house all angry, saw Merv sitting on the couch watching the test, had a big yarn with him and never came back for the rest of the party that apparently went well into the night.
