Gotta play Preuss a bit different to any other ruck.

Draper was able to defeat Cox for strength but Preuss is something else. He'd be pushing 120 to 130kgs, the the biggest man who's ever played footy.

Gotta stay on the move at all times. Even when he got Press off balance Preuss recovered.

Heart and soul, I’m not sure where we’d be without him. He is seriously holding this club together at the moment. Glad we have characters like Drapes on board during these tough times…

Think what this year established is that he can destroy ‘traditional’ ruckman but he doesn’t think about it too much just yet.

Finlayson smashed him because he conceded hitouts and roved, Goldstein beat him because he’s left handed and Draper got his angles all wrong and Preuss and Gawn gave him grief based on pure size.

Great combination of fun to watch and genuinely very good at footy.

Sammy's challenge next year is to dominate games. We have seen flashes in moments and quarters. He doesn't have to be the best ruck in the comp but more 4 quarter dominant games is what I am asking with an eye to more high end consistency in 2025.

The fan vote is worth 10% for goal of the year, but the weekly nominations are entirely fan voted, so I read this morning.

What the point is of a weekly nomination for goal of the year when the final award can be drawn from any of the 3x23 contenders from the entire season, I’ve no idea. The kid who won mark of the year didn’t win his week.
