Great to read that Draper has started training early. I’ve been critical of him but hopefully he is fit and healthy from day one. I don’t know if he has ever had a full pre season.

If we trade 28/32 this year for later picks and future 2nds we might be able to get another F1 from teams looking for points.

That would take us to 4 firsts.

Although with that many picks were probably just trying to add 2 young stars via trade

Knowing us we could be 0-4 or 4-0 leading into the Eagles game.


Our byes are placed in good spots.

could easily lose all 4 of those matches and lose all momentum leading into the round 16 bye. Second half fade out would be all over the media.

A lot depends on where the bid for Kako is.

Those picks have real value and it’s not so much about trading into next years draft as it is trying to maintain the value of these picks vs losing them points matching.

This drafts real strength according to most is it’s depth. So getting 3 picks in the 40s + Kako is a good outcome all things considered. Hopefully find 1 useful afl level player out of that trio.

And if we can get that + 2 future 2nds for 28 + 32 we’re doing pretty well.

Having lots of draft picks doesn’t mean you have to use them. Just gives you options. Could draft and bottom out. Could trade 1-2 firsts for young A level talent.
