Thought we could have a thread for all our ticketing queries and questions for September. In the past people have liked discussing how the system works, where they are sitting and how many tickets have been sold.

GRAND FINAL TICKETING PROCEDURE
The following ticketing arrangements are in place for all eligible members
regarding the 2010 Grand Final. Eligible Members include Home 11, Home & Away
17, Melbourne 11 and Silver AFL Geelong Club support (Priority Group 1 Silver
AFL Members please use your Geelong Cats membership barcode to register.
Priority Group 2 Silver AFL Members please use your AFL membership barcode to
register).
Members must register their intention to purchase a Grand Final ticket via the
internet* or operator assisted phone service in the times as specifi ed below.
Members who experience diffi culties when registering are advised to contact
Membership Services immediately on 1300 GO CATS. Membership Services staff
will be available to assist members from 8 am to 6 pm only.
*If registering via internet please ensure you have or create a My Ticketek Account
at least 24 hours prior.
AT THE END OF ROUND 22 IF LADDER POSITION IS: 2ND OR 3RD
Geelong Cats will play in Qualifying Final 2 in the fi rst week of the fi nals.
– If Geelong Cats lose this fi nal, Geelong Cats will proceed to Semi Final 2.
If Geelong Cats win Semi Final 2 and qualify to play in a Preliminary Final
members will be required to register on Thursday September 16.
Should Geelong Cats qualify for a Preliminary Final through any of the listed
scenarios, registration times on the applicable day will be:
PRIORITY GROUP 1: SEPTEMBER MEMBERS AND FULL SOCIAL
CLUB MEMBERS
Register between 8 am – 11 am
Priority Group 1 members please note if you register with Priority Group 2
members then your priority access to a ticket is waived.
PRIORITY GROUP 2: ALL OTHER ELIGIBLE MEMBERS
Register between 12 noon – 9 pm
GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
– Members are advised to confi rm registration dates and times at geelongcats.com.au.
– A non-refundable registration fee of $4.00 per ticket will be charged
at the time of registration to cover applicable administration costs.
– The following ticket options will be provided for members to select when registering:
1. BEST AVAILABLE TICKET
Members can receive a premium seat, a prime seat, a standard seat,
a restricted view seat or a standing room ticket.
2. BEST AVAILABLE TICKET EXCLUDING STANDING ROOM
Members can receive a premium seat, a prime seat, a standard seat, a restricted
view seat only. Members will not be allocated a standing room ticket.
3. MOBILITY IMPAIRED/COMPANION TICKET REQUIRED
For members who have a medical requirement for access to mobility impaired
ticketing or they hold a companion card.
– Members should have suffi cient funds to cover the appropriate ticket prices
as outlined below in addition to the $4.00 non refundable registration fee
(per ticket). Ticket prices will only be charged if Geelong Cats has qualifi ed for
the Grand Final.
– Ticket prices will be charged according to the membership card category
ie. a registered Adult membership card will be charged at the Adult ticket price.
A registered Concession or Junior card will be charged at the Concession price.
Children aged 2 and under may enter the Grand Final at no charge, however
must not occupy a seat.
– Members wishing to sit together must register their group in one transaction
using one credit card. A limit of eight (8) tickets per transaction applies.
Members should be aware that applications with more than one seat are
“one in all in” or “one out all out” – group bookings will not be split.
– It does not matter what time you register within your allocated time frame.
All registrations will be randomised, so that all Members have equal opportunity
to obtain a Grand Final ticket.
– Please note that your account number will be used as a reference to confi rm
whether you have been successful in the ballot.

Yes, you will need to purchase tickets should you wish to attend.
As a member of a club participating in the finals, you will receive priority access (prior to the general public) to purchase one ticket per membership card for any final in which the Geelong Cats participate in weeks 1, 2 and 3.
Geelong Cats members will receive a two-day priority access period for the opportunity to purchase tickets to the game before the general public.
When can I purchase tickets?
Tickets for finals played in Melbourne or Brisbane in Weeks 1, 2 & 3 will be made available to members of the competing Clubs on the Monday prior to the match at 9am EST.
How many tickets can I purchase?
Generally, member access will be on a one for one basis (i.e. one membership can purchase one ticket) however this may increase depending upon the game and ticket availability.
A maximum of eight (8) tickets per transaction applies when purchasing tickets with all tickets purchased requiring an eligible membership barcode.
I’m a member. Can I purchase finals tickets through the Club?
No. All members must purchase through the designated ticketing outlets:

Ohh nice spot, that would have been perfect for me but I couldn't be bothered going through the awful Ticketek 're-search' process at work.

Haha, complete opposite for me.
Sat in Q deck for the 2007 and 2009 grand finals... had a prime spot on the wing on M level in 2008.
