Re: Geelong finals tickets information

Busted :p

I did have a laugh.. they wanted undercover seats. Hence they lined up 22 hours in the open and cold to get seats undercover for 2 hours!

Oh the irony :p

Re: Geelong finals tickets information

I'm sure there will be someone who can sort you out, there often is at this time of year.

I've got mine in N53.

That's a good spot SJ.:thumbsu:

Did you get em near the front?

I am quite pleased to be relatively near the wing, prefer it to behind the goals.

It was so funny though, I felt sorry for all the people in the queue trying to get about 6 tickets (one st flooda guy i had a nice chat with was buying for his wife and his 4 grandkids) as they couldn't get level 1 at all, and I just came along behind and waltzed into the second row.

Yeah in the front few rows.

I am surprised they couldn't get six together. Surely that many haven't sold.

I bet they haven't released all the bays yet.

Re: Geelong finals tickets information

Or they may release them on Thursday.

Bound to happen, isn't it.
Every year i tell myself not to look later in the week because it always pisses me off, but i'm sure i'll do it all again this year.

We are Row FF, M33 on Level One.

Are they standard seats?

Section N13 row E, any good?

Superb seats.

Good work mate. :thumbsu:

Nah everyone who wanted 6 or more, in the last 1/2 hour before me, was getting pushed up to level 2 or 4 (whichever they chose). I don't believe for a second that many have been sold, it's just how the computer system is designed to do 'best available', which isn't really best available, if you know what I mean. Combine that with bays being selectively released and that's why. Had I been going with friends I would have had the same issues myself I reckon.

The same thing happened to me-people in front of me in the line got pretty bad seats, some wanting a bunch of tickets together on level 1 were told they'd have to buy in separate bays cause it was almost sold out (very hard to believe this???), then I got to the front & got 3 seats in row A-I almost felt guilty ;)

Re: Geelong finals tickets information

Although this reduces my chance of being successful I guess I should inform you all of 'Members' Monday'. Basically each week in the finals series, if you are a member and buy tickets on a Monday, you can enter a draw to win prizes including tickets to the 2010 Grand Final.

Thanks for the heads up mate, I just entered.

.

Yeah. There are only two bays on level one that are standard seating and they are the ones directly behind the goals in the Olympic and Ponsford Stands.

Luckily I actually prefer to sit near the goals. :thumbsu:

You must get a discount for being so close to the cheer squads. :D

They're easily the best of the standard options, though.

I remember having that discussion with you.
I'd have been hung up by the balls if i'd bought seats behind the goals, such is our group's distaste for it.
Wing ftw.

Re: Geelong finals tickets information

Be careful for what you wish. M13 for me.

Me too.

I wanted M15, but I'm still happier in 13 than around behind the goals.

Hopefully there's not too many flooda supporters (preferably none) in our section.

Re: Geelong finals tickets information

More like we should get paid for sitting there. A medal would be nice too

:D

I will strike you a deal...you may have a little medal if Pods can have a big one :thumbsu:

Re: Geelong finals tickets information

I said "almost"!!!

What row are you in Turbo? Never met anyone from BigFooty before.

I've only done once myself.

We should start our own 'BigFooty M13' club...might not have many members though.

You guys are more than welcome to come for drinks before the game. Venue most likely be YnJs across from Flinders St Station.

Hmmm..... I'm sitting with the CS tho. Deserve a big medal thank you. :p

Sounds good, lil jpod might make an appearance there then. Since I am not saddled with taking any friends to the game, I can do as I please in the lead up.

Well I spose for putting up with them (thank goodness the "how good are we" is gone:thumbsdown:) you so deserve a big medal, but no fan, or member, can deserve a bigger medal than Pods, so unless I create a 'biggest' category above 'big', then you see my dilemma.

Re: Geelong finals tickets information

You do know Pods isnt playing Friday. :p

Of course I know, I have been so sad lately. But he is still Podsilovely to me and he will be back for the next game :thumbsu:

Btw, I was referring to another jpod making an appearance at drinks, not the real one ;)

Cool, keep an eye on this thread then thru the week. :thumbsu:http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=673992&page=8

Thanks for the tip, I will keep an eye on that thread.
