Also signed Spase Dilevski. In the paper this morning.

We will take that.

My sources tell me Milligan is next.

Wouldn't suprise me, read the other day he has got out of the Japan danger zone and is with his family in Adelaide, isn't he from NSW? Thought it was a little odd. He would be a fantastic replacement for Hughes/Reid.

Dilevski is a really good signing - primarily RB but the added midfielder cover is always a bonus. Definitely an upgrade over Watson.

Milligan is a dickbag but a top A-League player, huge upgrade over what we had before.

Shit yeah, Watson is a handy squad player but not convinced he is a starting player, in any position. This means Mullen & Boogard the central defenders, another one required without a doubt. Perhaps this current SPL player is a CB?

Diego Estrada, the bloke we signed, then didn't, is still on our radar.

Yep SPL guy is a versatile type - can play stopper, left back, holding midfielder.

The bloke is a regular in the SPL and is also being courted by MLS clubs. Still under 30. To put into perspective - Paartalu struggled in scottish Div 1 - ive seen this bloke play - he is a gun.

Does he play for one of the Glasgow or Edinburgh clubs, or one of the "new firm"?

Pleased with the signing of Dilveski, look forward to seeing who's next.

But he's a left-back?

Why would we waste a foreign spot on a back-up fullback?

Cassio is actually completing his Australian citizenship so we can have an extra foreign player on our squad, but okay.

Hence why I also dismissed it as bullshit but if a LB is coming in theres now some slight chance it could be true. Cassio hasnt shyed away from chasing the dollars in the past I spose.

McGowan? Local lad, from Hearts, plays CD or DM.

By the way Ray is going on about it, I assume it's a fairly established defender. I don't know the SPL well enough to start taking guesses.

Reliable source AW?

Melbourne Victory won its war with cross-town rival Melbourne Heart for the signature of off contract Brisbane Roar striker Jean Carlos Solorzano.

The Costa Rican is viewed as the perfect replacement for Victory striker Robbie Kruse, who is on the verge of signing with German club Fortuna Dusseldorf.

It is believed the Solorzano's friendship with Victory star and countryman Carlos Hernandez was the deciding factor.

Solorzano played a big role in Roar's historic A-League premiership/championship double netting 11 goals in 24 matcghes. His Tico club LJ Alajuelense has agreed to extend his loan term, allowing him to join a Victory outfit in transition, after the departures of Ernie Merrick and Kevin Muscat.

Solorzano, 23, is expected to earn $250,000 next season at Victory after snubbing Heart, which saw him as the ideal solution to a conundrum which has left it short of strikers following the departure of Gerald Sibon and the retirement of John Aloisi.

Hernandez, a former club mate of Solorzano with LJ Alajuelense, may have blazed a trail for his close friend, having signed a long-term deal with Victory after originally arriving on loan.

A Melbourne official said: “I can’t confirm that the deal has gone though but it’s no secret that we have been in talks with Jean Carlos Solorzano and with Robbie Kruse soon departing he could be a big signing for us.”

Meanwhile Kruse is due back at the club after Socceroos duty for the rest of Victory's Asian Champions League campaign before jetting back to Germany.

Doesn't make sense, he is going to a club with 2 established forward (3 if you include Kruze who is leaving) and a solid number 10 in Hernandez (no pun intended) and 2 good young AMs in Rojas and Cernak. Must be the Angoulo/Hernandez pull although arn't they both on the exit?

Bad luck Heart but it's an easy choice really ;)

To answer the questions;
1) he will be the 3rd striker nothing wrong with that
2) Angulo likely to leave whereas Carlos will stay (sorry Rosemvp)
3) doesn't matter that theres no manager for a no brainer signing like that

Rojas and Solorzano fantastic signings! :)

**** sake, we didn't get either Djite or Solorzano in the end.

Victory one up us after we signed one of their players, good way to get the rivalry going.
