The Neville story is true. Not sure he will earn a contract tho. Even tho he is certainly in our greatly reduced price bracket. Lol
The Nicholls story smells a bit like April fools tho.

Mitch Nichols has made a dream move to Championship side Portsmouth after the club came to an agreement over a transfer fee.
The 21-year-old Socceroo, who was signed by former Roar mentor Frank Farina, had already agreed to provisional terms after Brisbane Roar gave permission to speak to Nichols, his agent confirmed today.
It’s a massive loss for Brisbane who had already lost Costa Rican striker Jean Carlos Solorzano to Melbourne Victory last week. However the Roar will be buoyed by the fact they have at least received a transfer fee for Nichols believed to be around $300,000.
The Roar and Nichols were both unavailable for comment but the players’ agent confirmed interest from Portsmouth was first shown in January however formal discussions didn’t begin until a week after the A-League final. However Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill did comment on the capture of the attacking midfielders’ signature.
“He’s got bags of potential and with a bit of luck could end up playing a key role for us next season” Cotterill said. “We’re focused on the chase for promotion currently but young Mitch could do some big things next season, whether we are in the Championship or the Premiership.”
Should Portsmouth succeed in what seems an unlikely promotion challenge, Nichols will become the first Australian player from the A-League to transfer directly to the English Premier League.
The move comes off the back of a stellar season for Brisbane contributing 6 goals and 6 assists in 32 appearances.

Do the Victory even have a salary cap?
"Hell would freeze over before we release Mark to Melbourne Victory," Griffin said.

Because there is a big chance that Galekovic could go overseas, meaning Birighitti would be starter.Victory did Adelaide a favour by releasing Galekovic midseason a few years ago to join Adelaide and he became one of the best players for that team and in A-league.
I don't understand why wont they return the favour? I rate Brighitti highly.
Enfield or something wasn't it? Not sure he ever played but seem to remember him having pretty big wraps on him.I'd be wary of any yanks not good enough for the MLS that come over here. From memory the scummers signed one back in Season 1 and he was a complete dud.
