Who at Hawthorn can put the breaks on Swan and Pendles? With no Brad Sewell or that hack that went to GC, I don't think anyone can stop Swan from going huge but himself.

Although there is meant to be a 'few showers' today in WA which could be a slight worry.

Yeah i think it's fair to say he'll cover the 70 lol. I don't know what came over me, probably because I was gonna be home to watch the game and thought i've got a whole bunch of players who will all hopefully run a muck so why not add the captain to it and make it that much more enjoyable...so far so bad haha.

Yeah the weather was one of the factors and how well the big stars have scored against GC was the other. But if i could have my time back ....

Went with Ablett. Other considerations were Swan and Pendlebury. I never really looked at SuperPav.

Pretty much.

I was firmly in the no GAJ corner at the start of the year and it seemed justified to me even after his 198 against Adelaide as i thought that was one out of the box. But i brought him in after the Mundy injury and he's backed it up with 144, 121 and 185.

Since GC's 2nd bye, GAJ has averaged 141. Amazing stuff. Perm captain from here on out for me. May switch between him and Swan though, if Swan recaptures some of the 150+ scores he was smashing out in the first few weeks.

While my internet’s actually working and to help me forget about this week’s debacle, getting in early with the captains thread

Seems pretty simple these days, if you have Ablett, make him skipper lol. For us poor bastards that don’t and keep f’ing up like me (hello Boyd and your 70 points) research is our only hope

Oh and.... Ablett v Swans (162 - 135, 203, 164, 155, 254)
