Re: Round 16 Captain

Don't think I can go past Swan this week as a minor slightly 'out of the ordinary' risk (as no league games can afford a risk in my case) for this week (think a lot of SCers will be still on Ablett the reborn perma-Captain train). Swanny has bounced right back into form since returning from U.S. Has had it on a string, vintage Swanny is officially back! Had a 152 vs Roos earlier in year. Pies should absolutely pants Roos again, lock in 30+ touches and a goal or 2 again from him this week.

So many good options this week though. Good luck!

Re: Round 16 Captain

I might go Judd this week :D

He seems to do well against the Dogs in terms of fantasy points and he's fairly unique as a captain choice this week :thumbsu:

Re: Round 16 Captain

Ablett. Have thought about Goodes, Swan, Pendles... Have had Ablett for a month and only made him skipper once, the 121 he got agaisnt the dogs... I've learned my lesson. If you have Ablett, lock him away for the rest of the season.

Re: Round 16 Captain

Hodge could be looking juicy for those that don't have Ablett, from yscc:

Add a 163 to that list :thumbsu:

Ended up going Mitchell myself who got 129 so can't complain with that. Just gotta hope GAJ doesn't maintain the ridiculous average tonight :p

I finally got one right! Hodge with the big C and no league match to get the spoils in with Ablett struggling :(

Re: Round 16 Captain

Wow our most one sided captain thread for the year and he goes down injured. Lessens the pain of not having GAJ now but alot of the damage as already been done.

Re: Round 16 Captain

Handy round not to have Ablett and to have Pendles captain.

Re: Round 16 Captain

This is the week to be a bit crazy with your captain choice in the hope you'll be rewarded IMO. It's not like it'll lose you a league game and as long as you pick a good captain (don't go too off centre) you shouldn't lose too much if someone else fires.

Case in point:

the vast majority of people are picking GAblett this week which seems fair enough given his history of scoring against the Swans. I would usually jump on too, however can also see Goodes scoring quite well for the Swans. So I'm taking the punt on Goodes (or RoK) having a blinder against the GC boys. Sydney will want to assert their dominance in the interstate market up there (i.e. versus GC, GWS & the Lions) and could come out all guns firing. While GC would be trying to achieve the same thing, being younger bodies I expect them to come out strong initially and like every other week drop off by the end of the game (moreso the harder they go out early).

Either way (Ablett v Swans boys) you should make a reasonable score. I don't have to beat anyone this week so why not take a punt this week I say. :thumbsu:

Why the f*** did I not listen to myself.......

* I may have gone with the sheep at the last minute and picked GAblett... (*looks away ashamed*)

Round 17 Captain

Last week 67% of us experienced the other, less enjoyable side of having a perma capt....an early injury and sub

Amazingly the poll’s top scorer was Nicky Dal who scored 170 odd who was actually last on the poll with an average of 77 against Port...pretty much throw the form guide on that one lol.

News sounds good for Junior who is a possible starter this week, question is, dare you put the big C on him again?

Re: Round 17 Captain

Had Pendlebury as captain for ages, not going to change it after last week's performance.

Re: Round 17 Captain

Yeah leaning Pendles myself, just so consistent it's not funny.

14 games
160+ x 2
140+ x 1
130+ x 3
120+ x 3
110+ x 2
100+ x 2
90+ x 1

Pretty sick.

Re: Round 17 Captain

Todd Goldstein. In great form.

Last 7 weeks averaging 127.86, and got 164, 138, 138 last 3 weeks.

Re: Round 17 Captain

Just realised Pendlebury's lowest score this year (94) was actually against Carlton :(

Don't recall the game but from what i can see on FF, "Tagged by Gibbs... 21 touches and 8 tackles with 3 marks".

Amazingly, there were only 6 sc tons hmm.
