Got an early gut feel for Precedence..

Bart Horse, (Barts main horse this year) so you would assume experienced Arnold goes on it..

Its a year older and stronger, proven it can stay the 3200 by going from almost last at the turn last year to finish 8th in the heavy even though i think the dry suits it (ordinary ride from the jockey who was a replacement after an earlier fall). So nothing went right for it last year.

I put 20 on it at 41-1..always a risk betting 6 weeks before a race, but meh if it runs and is in good nic, could be a popular pick.

I dont expect much from it in the underwood, but I think an early guide of its form and condition could be the turnbull.

Precedence is a huge hope. No doubt whatsoever he will run the distance out very strongly and another year under his belt he will be extremely hard to beat.

Not sure the last time Arnold rode at 53.5, but I would guess he would struggle.

On top of the MLD news, big developments with a couple of the internationals

Owners of Americain have bought half of Jukebox Jury so pencil him in.

Modun has been purchased by Godolphin & looks likely (no wonder Moroney couldnt afford it).....$201 gone but still $126 available @ Sportingbet which massively increases the chances of their other two Cavalryman & Lost In The Moment arriving.

Dangerous Midge wont be coming,no shock there

He's the local Im grappling with.

Last year was a total rush to get him in the race & ran as well as he could on an unsuitable track,
this year he'll have the JB Cummings slow build up prep.
Looks a completely different horse too,now a typical late maturing Zabeel.
Not hopeless in the CC on the way either

Must admit I've been out of the loop for awhile but I'm on the Precedence bandwagon too, he definitely wasn't ready last year. Also getting a good feel about At First Sight.
Hoping both run well today.

Interested in people's thoughts on Absolutely...

Absolutely more a C Cup horse for me

All of Lloyd's imports are going the right way.....AFS included.

I don't think he stays...?
Could do a Viewed and be a big player in the Caulfield Cup like you say, on the way to the Melbourne Cup.

Cheers seth

Precedence slightly disappointing, didn't finish it off but way too early to write him off.

How good was AFS though? Bigger track will suit to a tee.

Just saw the replay on the tv for the first time

Shamrocker ride terrible but battling now you would have to say

Midas Touch & At First Sight looking fantastic!

really impressed by AFS on saturday.

With Precedence, like I said in my earlier post, i didnt expect much in the underwood. I will be watching intently in the turnbull. I think precedence is a Flemington horse with the 2000m and the slightly longer straight will suit it.

If it runs a good turnbull i think it will firm in the melbouren cup betting.

What was everyones thoughts on Lion Tamer, does anyone think it will run in the cox?

Moonee valley can be a leaders track and LT usaully likes to lead, even though it won a sligthly different way saturday. With a short straight lion tamer might be suited to that type of run. But hard to tell.

Thoughts?
