Re: Round 11 Trades

Higgins > Mzungu

Stanley > Any defender I want but probably Enright because hes so cheap!!!

Then after Collingwoods Bye Krakouer > Swan

Maybe something in between then as well, if somebody is underperforming but it will leave me with a team with only 5 averages under 95 and one of them is N Reiwoldt. Will have 2 under 90.

yeah thats some solid trading. enright is rock bottom (hopefully cause i have him) and so is swan. no arguments here!!

my trades thoughts
scenario one or two

scenario one
out: duigan or lower (which one should i punt? i swaying towards duigan)
out: libba
in: pedersen (if he's named) / jacobs (i've got a cover) / other rookie defender
in: ablett

scenario two
out: matera or krakouer (swaying towards matera)
out: libba
in: mzungu
in: ablett

thoughts? lost 3 on the trot now and need to bring in some heavy hitters

Re: Round 11 Trades

Reckon Sam Mitchell is an underrated get. Lowest score is about 80 this year, remarkably consistent, his kick/handball ratio is through the roof compared to last year. Bottom dollar for his scoring consistency.

Agree although I dont think Mitchell has too many 150's in him.

This week for me;

Yarran > GC Tippet (need to get Petrie into forward line)
Harris > Hodge

Midfield finished (until I give up on Burgoyne entirely) with Swan, Pendles, Judd, A Swallow, Burgoyne and Hodge.

Hodge will be my 9th Hawk - think I might struggle R17 :D I am starting to cull some of the players affected by finals. Will be left with Enright, Judd, Heppell and Swallow who I have to deal with at some stage or take a hit in finals.

Re: Round 11 Trades

What are people's thoughts on Cotchin, originally I was going to keep him until his first bye (this week) and trade him for Ablett who just had his two byes. Still seems like a solid idea but he is averaging more than I expected. Still don't know if I want a 95-105 average in my midfield, when I could have a 120+. Not to mention the two byes will be annoying.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Thinking bringing Didak and Mzungu in, and getting rid of Darling, Tapscott or Knights not sure though.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Was going to go -

Libba > Mzungu

Conka > Boyd

But will now have to go -

Libba > Callihan

Conka > Boyd

Reason is that I fall short of getting Boyd if I downgrade Libba to Mzungu instead. Callihan will gets games in the next few weeks anyways, is way cheaper ($91,700) and is MPP too.

Good news is though the week after I will just do a straight trade of Richardson > Mzungu as Richardson is just dead wood on the bench and Mzungu won't go up that much anyways.

Win/Win in my book. :D:thumbsu:
I would think twice before bringing Boyd in, yes he is on fire at the moment and scoring well but how long will that last? Last year Boyd burnt me at the end of the season, his 80+ scores were not good enough to get me over the line.. He is the reverse of Goodes, Goodes stars slow and finishes hard whereas Boyd starts hard and finishes slow.. If you havent got GAJ in your side I would go that way, simply because he is a gun.. If you had the option of picking one of those guys to join Judd, Murphy & Gibbs at Carlton who would it be :)???
If you win the overall you can thank me in your acceptance speech!

No, no, no, no. Don't say that! Just got him in my team to finish off my mids. :p

Re: Round 11 Trades

My plan all year was a sideways trade from Boak to Ablett as this round, Had 96000 in the bank for this week and a handy 157 from Boak puts Ablett in the straight swap range (Boak has 2 byes Ablett none).

Would complete a midfield of Swan Pendlebury Selwood Judd Ablett Bartel in other words 3 current brownlow medalists, 2 future brownlow winners and a perma lock captain when in form who finishes top 3!

Re: Round 11 Trades

Trading will be easy this week...

Tapscott - > Mzungu
Harris -> Hodge

Then next week:
Darling -> I. Smith/Callinan
Stanley -> Shaw

Playing team then completed, with 8 trades left.. My lowest averaging keepers will be Heppell/Hodge/Sandilands/N.Roo

Re: Round 11 Trades

Thinking of trading Cotchin for a Scott Thompson, Luke Hodge or Matthew Boyd type. They're all probably capable of averaging 30+ more and Cotchin has scored 66, 84, 70 and 88 this year. The two byes coming up as well for Richmond, while the others have just the one each. Worth it, or a waste of a trade? I have plenty stored away so....

How many is plenty??? But yes cotchin is not a premium keeper

Re: Round 11 Trades

15?

Team is as such (full strength):
B: Carazzo Gibbs Goddard Adcock Broughton Shaw Deledio
C: Ablett Pendlebury Cotchin Sylvia Iles Selwood
R: Sandilands Cox
F: Goodes Maric J.Riewoldt Franklin Rioli Pavlich O'Keefe

Hoping to go Cotchin to Thompson this week. Iles to Swan after Collingwood's second bye. That would complete my midfield.

Hoping that Maric rises in price enough for me to trade him to a Chapman type. Then I should be left with enough trades to tinker around, maybe trade one of Gibbs/Carrazzo to a Fisher type before that Carlton bye in finals.

Hoping to finish like

B: Carazzo/Fisher Gibbs/Fisher Goddard Adcock Broughton Shaw Deledio
C: Ablett Pendlebury Swan Thompson Hodge/Chapman Selwood
R: Sandilands Cox
F: Goodes Pavlich Riewoldt Franklin Rioli Sylvia O'Keefe

Re: Round 11 Trades

Was planning on bringing in Hodge and Pavlich this week, but then Hodge had a blinder and Harris had a stinker which ruined my plans. Now I'm thinking of bringing in Pavlich and either Goodes or Ryan O'keefe. Can't decide between the two. I know O'keefe burned me at the end of last year so I'm leaning towards Goodes. Any thoughts?

I reckon the ship is about to sail for Hodge, so if you were going to get him in, it should probably be this week. His price is on the way up for sure, and for that reason I am also considering him this week. Fingers crossed he comes good again. Goodes is also notorious for starting slow, so take that with a grain of salt.

Thinking:

Harris > Mzungu
Liberatore > Hodge

Ideas?

Re: Round 11 Trades

I'm thinking its time to call it quits with burgoyne

Going to go Libba to Mzungu and Burgoyne to Priddis as a bit of a unique pick, 112 against the top side in the competition last week and a bit of a unique pick

Re: Round 11 Trades

Brennan anyone? If you can ignore his past, he'd have to be in the top 3 fwds over the last 5 games averaging 110 with a couple of monsters in there as well. Has had both his byes as well :)

He's crossed my mind... that's it so far. I'll see when I upgrade Krakouer.

If you don't mind the inconsistency some weeks he might win it for ya, others you will be kicking and screaming on here as to why you picked him

I have burgoyne as well and imo it is too late to get rid of him now, he is priced at a maxed out cash cow price. He could come good, 2nd half yesterday he was impressive. They call him silk for a reason, have faith.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Is Swan worth getting at the moment? Is he likely to come good anytime soon? Or steer clear due to his injury?
