Re: Round 11 Trades

A lot of what if's this week. Probably the make or break round for me.

* - Will Goddard play this week?
* - Will Mumford return?

Backline - The three in the gun are Duigan, Stanley and Fletcher. Duigan's breakeven of 73 could go either way. A game against Port Adelaide may not help. Fletcher's breakeven is 153, has only tonned up once, with the right trade, could bring in an elite (thinking Deledio, but the bye, oh the bye..). Small breakeven of 41 for Stanley sees him survive another week.

Midfield - Thompson 162, Judd 155, Hodge 152, Pendlebury 138, Ablett 106, .....Liberatore 26.

No real urgent issues here, think Libba has peaked though. Helped make my decision between who to keep between him and Harris as my M7 a bit easier. Atley stays because he still plays games, and isnt really losing money despite being crap.

Ruck - Mumford and Sandilands made me go in with a zero this week. Don't think I have the spare trades to trade McCauley to a ruck/forward (...J Tippett? :S) so I can bring Petrie over to cover. Sandi to Cox seems too much of a sideways trade, and I can see Freo rushing him back anyway.

Forwards - Reckon a few people will jump off Darling a week too soon this week. Gold Coast may give him a few points to get the 94 required. With Riewoldt having the bye this weekend, would like to have as many options possible for my F7. Krakouer, B.Matera and Prestia are there currently. Mzungu comes in this week (either for Libba, Atley or Matera), do I start him ahead of Krakouer who is due to have a sub stint? Thought Prestia was good in his last quarter, and could be a late cash cow.. Overall, I think I need another forward option, assuming I'll trade Darling the week after. Darling for Brennan next week could be a go'er.

So Mzungu for Libba, Atley or Matera is a given, giving me anywhere between 253k-153k to play with for the next trade. The other trade however..

Fletcher for S.Martin/Grundy/Duffield/S Fisher/

Krakouer for N.Riewoldt/Brennan/S.Johnson/Chapman/J.Brown/Kennedy

Libba/Atley (whichever I don't trade Mzungu for) for A.Swallow/Mundy/dal Santo/Montagna/J.Selwood/Swan/Boyd/Mitchell

Re: Round 11 Trades

I'm in a similar position. Buying a mid. Seriously considering scott Thompson. Could be a real POD.

Thompson a very good option. He has been immense in a very poor side. My no Crows players rule will pervent that happening. I have Otten but he should earn me some money in weeks to come and will be a finals updgrade option If I have the trades.

Looks like Hodge vs Munday vs Pavlich vs Priddis for me. Mundy and Pav the advantage of a bye when no league games.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Very early so I most likely won't do this considering I will need to trade to cover a ZERO like every other week, but thinking;

Yarran > Didak

Harris > Premium. Hodge is very tag-able but can score huge and now is the time to get him, Scott Thompson and Boyd look like one man teams stealing all the points. Swan has dropped to 476k and will drop more with his injury concerns. NDS and Montagna are improving as the Saints win.

Much to think about in getting the right Midfield from here on in.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Anyone have some thoughts on why Chappy's scores have gone to shit? Tossing up between him and Browndog now.

JB is only owned by 2% teams whereas Chappy 24% so could be a good POD. Chappy has that bye during finals as well but Brown plays for Brissy so could struggle for decent supply. I just wonder if Chappy is sore, saw him hobble late on Saturday so could be carrying something? Might've just got a knock though...

Re: Round 11 Trades

Looks like its time to cull Darling>Mzungu

Then an upgrade somewhere. Probably in my mids

Boyd will most likely come in. Would get Pendles, but already have Swan and i like the fact that the Dogs don't have a bye for 2 months

Re: Round 11 Trades

Why cull Darling the week they're playing GC? Not exactly like there's a huge range of forwards to choose from either.

Yeah, few players are giving people a lot to think about. Got my mind set on Watson, but Hodge at his price is giving me something to think about, but considering i already have Franklin and Rioli i don't want to get caught short when the Hawks have a bye.

Got 280k in the bank myself. Going to be upgrading Harris this week i think if Watson is back. Still considering Sandi > 91k rookie or Bailey.... Will see as the week unfolds.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Tentatively thinking Conca, and one of Harris or Liberatore, for Thompson and a downgrade option. Although those options are looking fairly limited. Hopefully I. Smith gets picked for Hawthorn.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Was going to go -

Libba > Mzungu

Conka > Boyd

But will now have to go -

Libba > Callihan

Conka > Boyd

Reason is that I fall short of getting Boyd if I downgrade Libba to Mzungu instead. Callihan will gets games in the next few weeks anyways, is way cheaper ($91,700) and is MPP too.

Good news is though the week after I will just do a straight trade of Richardson > Mzungu as Richardson is just dead wood on the bench and Mzungu won't go up that much anyways.

Win/Win in my book. :D:thumbsu:

Re: Round 11 Trades

how is this?

Harris> Swan (depending on how bad he is injury or out of form.
Darling>Chapman

i was thinking boyd but swan surely will start getting higher scores soon enough.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Tapscott > Mzungu

Harris to anyone to finish my mids, looking for some advice on which was to go here thanks. Tossing up between Watson, Hodge(already have 3 hawks), Swan(will he start scoring well again soon?), S. Thompson, Ablett and Boyd

Cheers

Re: Round 11 Trades

I've decided to give Ablett a miss, everyone has jumped on him and aside from Adelaide he hasn't been spectacular, plus he's more expensive than my other options.

This week
Liber – Thompson

Next week (if Wright comes up a little and Mundy comes down)
Wright – Mundy

Leaves me with Swan, Boyd, Mundy, Montagna, Bartel, Thompson.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Missy Higgins (killing me) > Mzungu
A Otten > Broughton

Then next week

Libber/D Harris > Ablett
Lower/Toy > Newman

Then sit and wait :)

Re: Round 11 Trades

Tapscott > Mzungu

Then either:

Cross > Boyd (sideways but upgrade at the same time!)

Libber > Priddis
or
Libber/Swallow > S. Thompson

Current Midfield reads like this:

Mundy, Swan, Cross, Ablett, Murphy, Swallow (Libber, Smith, Bewick)

Any thoughts??

Re: Round 11 Trades

Reckon Sam Mitchell is an underrated get. Lowest score is about 80 this year, remarkably consistent, his kick/handball ratio is through the roof compared to last year. Bottom dollar for his scoring consistency.

Agreed....I have Franklin and Cyril up forward, and Puopolo down back, I. Smith in the middle....Hawthorn's bye is not until Round 17. Could do some manipulating before then. Hodge might be a good option now that he's hit some form and didn't get tagged.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Higgins > Mzungu

Stanley > Any defender I want but probably Enright because hes so cheap!!!

Then after Collingwoods Bye Krakouer > Swan

Maybe something in between then as well, if somebody is underperforming but it will leave me with a team with only 5 averages under 95 and one of them is N Reiwoldt. Will have 2 under 90.
