I hope you are right. I have it covered for about $1000 a month or so back in case it was a Bog but it just looks like its got none. That Geelong Cup was horrendous and i'm well aware of the excuses but it needed to show SOMETHING. Also it sounds like the threat of rain is gone which I think was his last hope. I just can't get past that Geelong race...and trust me there is nothing i want more than to see a grey streak down the outside and win!
Agreed, what's everyone's take on my quest? Everyone saying he had a great run in CC but if you watch closely in last, 25m he actually dies pretty hard.

I can't agree with the end bit. Most of the ones up front folded and he held on the longest along with Lights Of Heaven. Maybe just needed a good blowout, pretty sure the 3200 wont be an issue. If he finds a nice spot like last time there is no reason he wont be right there again.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep him in my exotics.

The pace was hot and he was the only one out of the front runners to be still in the finish. Had no choice but to hit the front way too early when GG called it a day on the turn.
Should get a nice run 4/5 back on the fence and will get his chance in the straight if he's good enough.

More and more i look at Gallileos Choice the more i like that!!
1 issue i have with it that it hasnt raced here and its used to running in small fields!!

Did exactly the same for about $1200 but after watching the Geelong Cup for the 8th time I realised it will certainly need a bog track to be competitive. Don't think we're going to get a deluge so I think I took unders. :p

Track manager must be staring at the sky wondering how much water to put on the track.

I didnt really either, but its the kind of horse that slips under my guard usually. He loves Flemington and will get into a good position but there is just a huge question mark on the distance and i cant really beconfident one way or the other if he will run it out

I can't see Green Moon getting close but then again it loves Flemington.

I really love Mount Athos and Galileo's Choice and I think the winner will come out if them two. Wouldn't be shocked if Americain, Red Caddeux and Dunaden win either but I am all over Galileo's Choice especially now that we got some rain.

If Dunaden wins tomorrow will we rate at as a better horse than Makybe Diva? I personally will even though it won't be his third Melbourne Cup. I think his competition is much harder and for some reason I just really love the horse.

I don't think we've had any rain yet.

i am very keen on My quest for peace but don't know whether i should back him tonight or wait till tomorrow

I love how Dunaden stretches out and his ears pin down for aerodynamics when he's going flat chat
I know it's a bit of a cliche, but this is a horse that wants to win.

TDB currently $108 to win and $30 to place on TAB! :D Already 1.1 Million in the pool and i don't think it will get a lot more money for it so this could blow out even more come 3pm tomorrow.

Gee i have never seen a horse that i think can win be these odds before!! Like Ari mentioned earlier i give it a real blowout shot and it will be getting a lazy $5 E/W from me at those odds. :thumbsu:

Last year someone posted up stats on previous cup winners and formulated a guide on picking a cup winner.....weight, age, lead up form etc etc. Anyone know where i can find that??...been looking but no go.

Has anyone got some thoughts on cavalryman? Just watched his last run where he came 2nd over 3220m. He ran a similar time to dunadens cup win last year and he carried 60kg in that race and gets to drop 6kg for tomorrow. Just trying to put a line through some but can't find a reason to count him out.
