1. Collingwood - Still a star studded team, rejuvination?

2. Hawthorn - 0% vs Collingwood, Geelong and Adelaide, 100% vs everyone else. I think they can hold onto 2nd easily with Geelong having a minor dropoff (not as major as first expected)

3. Fremantle - Ross Lyon's gameplan will make Subiaco Oval a couldrun that no one will beat them at, they'll win enough away games to get top 4 easily

4. St Kilda - They have alot of talent, and with a more attacking minded coach, they could be pretty damn good. Can beat anyone on their day.

5. Geelong - They're better than my 5th place prediction indicates, Geelong in 2012 to be like Hawthorn in 2011. Better than the field, but slightly behind the top few. On their day they could beat Collingwood, but could get pushed by say an Essendon others.

6. Sydney - They can only go up.

7. Carlton - Still too many bloody holes in key positions, and Judd can't remain superman forever, he'll breakdown soon with how he plays. 1-3 good years in him left.

8. Adelaide - 8th/9th very close, only went Adelaide on bias.

------------------

9. North Melbourne - As above.

10. Essendon - 2011 was on emotion of playing under a past champ. I still have queirys over their squad's depth, and their coaching staff.

11. West Coast - More realistic injury list, questionable depth, inconsistent youth, they'll go down this year, but the experience of seeing how hard consistency is will strive their club to greater success in future years.

12. Gold Coast - They'll improve, probably sharply, but I took the safe tip and having them low. So much quality youth that 1 or 2 should explode and put them here, 1 or 2 other sharp improvers and maybe even higher

13. Richmond - I found the Tigers and Bulldogs bloody hard to split, Riewoldt factor put Richmond here.

14. Western Bulldogs - See above

15. Melbourne - They're more talented than this, but trying to change a gameplan so bloody quickly, plus having an ingrained losing culture thanks to Dean Bailey, they'll struggle at first.

16. Brisbane - I just can't see where the improvement will come from.

17. Greater Western Sydney - They're not Port.

18. Port Adelaide - They'll regress this year. They've gotten rid the heart (Brogan) and Soul (Cornes) of the team. They'll be pushed around the stoppages, and unlike GWS, they don't have the flashey energetic youngsters who once or twice might break a game open. If they win 2+ games this year, Primus would of conducted a minor miracle.

Collingwood(New coach don't lose much)
Hawks(Get Roughead back)

lucky in terms of what exactly? pre-season injuries don't account for multiple 100 point beltings?

I see a lot of people writing off St Kilda - do it at your peril. We would have beaten Collingwood on Saturday, but not Geelong. We are still a top three team. We will be there on grand final day 2012, the question that remains is who we will play. I think it will be West Coast.

Kind of useless to do this before the trade period, but....

Nice to be optimistic, but not a hope in hell.

Haha.. both teams have given Sydney a belting at the 'G over the last two seasons.

Your Grand Final, evidently.

Tips for Sydney:
* recycling average/above average players does not win premierships.
* winning games at the 'G greatly important.
* recruiting some players that can kick a footy would help.

Tips for Melbourne:
*"rebuilding" is trendy and all, but eventually it has to ammount to something.
*try to create an environment which makes your young stars want to stick around for more than two years.
*winning games at the G is important, winning finals moreso.

It must get frustrating consistently being thereabouts but not having the talent to take it out.

It must be frustrating that we did in fact take it out, while your "promising" young team full of "potential" has completely stagnated...

It took a miracle for the Swans to win it in '05 in probably the worst grand final in AFL history.

...lol yep seems it is.

Certainly do.

The Melbourne Football Club. The oldest club in the league and the founders of Australian Rules football.

Melbourne: 12 premierships - South Melbourne/Sydney: 4 premierships

You know your club hasn't won anything in a long, long time when you brag about being the oldest club.

Watch us own you in 2012.

Again, your Grand Final?

1.Carlton - Pieces should fit
2.Collingwood - Always there, Buckley will take some time
3.Hawthorn - Rate them highly, will depend on if Mitchell is released like '11
4.Fremantle - They're coming
5.Sydney - Good side
6.Geelong - Couldn't blame them for not having the hunger
7.St. Kilda - Rejuvinated
8.North - Natural progression see them up
9.Essendon - There, thereabouts
10.WCE - Plenty to prove for me, will Cox, Embley, Kerr etc. fire??
11.Brisbane - Strong culture sees them fight
12.Dogs - Not totally shot, but I wouldn't be confident in an old man taking on an old list
13.Adelaide - One year down, sort out the midfield
14.Richmond - Melbourne '11, weaknesses wil be seen and addressed by DH
15.Port - Some decent talent should hold them up
16.GWS - Old men will lead well
17.Gold Coast - 2nd Year Blues

Left my own side out of it.

Clearly an idiot was that poster. But what on earth convinces you that we give a shit about Sydney, let alone treat you as a Grand Final?

Essendon can probably finish as high as 6 or as low as 11 IMO. But if it goes the way I think it will, Geelong will be holding another premiership this time next year.

Who did North gain? Why are people overrating them? Did I see North at 3rd? Only beat one top 8 side (8th).
