^^Noticed that too.

So we're going to be able to watch this game on the net? Nice. Would've been nice to watch Saad but oh well.

Its radio, not TV coverage.

No Webster (best player in the 2's last week)? Nor Staley either.

Assuming its part of their resting rotations for all the kids.

That is one very strong Sandy Team.....plus very well structured and balanced. Just needs the suspended Saad in the pocket.

For a 2nd year player its hard to judge where Crocker is at. He should be pushing for AFL selection, but he finds himself continuously in the VFL Reserves, not their seniors, their reserves!

He has had couple senior games this year but has not shown much. He has an elite kick on him but for bloke thats had 2 AFL preseasons he is still as raw as they come. He stands 179cm and only 71kg.

Once again this week he finds himself running around in the Development Squad. It must be a worry that he isnt progressing at all.

In his 2 senior games this year he has had

Effective Kicks: 10
Ineffective Kicks: 4
Effective Handballs: 6
Ineffective Handballs: 5
Tackles: 0
Marks: 4

Not the greatest stats in the world!

Arryn Siposs – 2 games

1 goal
3 behinds
6 tackles
5 marks
27 disposals

Ave: 0.5 goals, 3 tackles, 2.5 marks & 13.5 disposals

Ahmed Saad – 3 games

6 goals
4 behinds
11 tackles
8 marks
34 disposals

Ave: 2 goals, 3.6 tackles, 2.6 marks & 11.3 disposals

^^Please tell me those stats for Crocker aren't combined.

Did he come in at 71kgs? If he did that's a worry because Watters said in a radio interview Newnes has put on something like 6 or 7kgs since he arrived and he's just a first year player.

Farren Ray – 2 games

1 goal
5 tackles
6 marks
45 disposals

Ave: 0.5 goals, 2.5 tackles, 3 marks & 22.5 disposals

Sebastian Ross – 3 games

1 behind
11 tackles
10 marks
50 disposals

Ave: 0 goals, 3.6 tackles, 3.3 marks & 16.6 disposals

Sorry might have been bit confusing. Weight was off Saints website, assuming they've updated it but not sure what he was last year

Sam Crocker - 2 Games

0 goals

Ave: 12.5 disposals & 4 marks

I don't mind those stats for Saad considering he's a small forward. He isn't exactly tearing it up but he's getting a few shots on goal and his tackle numbers are good.

I feel that in the past he would have got more chances, but there is a big draft next year, and we will be looking for players to push out.

St Kilda will buck the AFL trend of fielding its own reserves, revealing plans to stick with VFL partner Sandringham.

"It'd been well publicised there'd been some challenges in the alignment," Pelchen said.

"We respect how important the VFL competition is to the development of AFL players. And we felt at St Kilda that hadn't been maximised."

Zebras Adam Cockie, Myke Cook, Jackson Coleman, James Hallahan and Michael Sikora are all on early AFL draft radars.

But Pelchen admitted one challenge the alignment faced was upgrading Sandy’s Trevor Barker Oval to AFL dimensions.

"We have a strong desire for our players to play on a ground of similar (AFL size)," he said.

The Saints, Zebras and Bayside Council are in talks about increasing the surface size, but Pelchen would not rule out a return to Moorabbin in the future, where St Kilda still holds the lease.

Anyone that cant make it along today i will be posting live updates & bit commentary on twitter via @TrueZebras. Im also sure Squizzy will be doing updates in here, so ill just post on twitter. But feel free to copy them across for those that dont do Twitter. :thumbsu:

Markworth looks bit bigger after few weeks in gym. Lever still looks as skinny as they come.

Daniel Minchinton off ground with what looks like knee injury. Had to be helped from ground. Heard trainer say doesn't appear to be structural, they just dont want to take any chances.

Markworth cooped knock to ribs. Looks pretty winded!

Final Score in Dev Squad. @WilliamstownFC 20.10.130 defeated @sandyzebs 16.10.106 #GoZebs

0.2 to 5.4 at qtr time.

4-5 goal breeze at this stage.

Shenton marked well. Kicked poorly.

Dunell and Wilkes have scrapped well but not a lot of clean possessions.

Siposs good on wing, floating back.

Ray would have had 8 possessions.

Gwilt excellent, especially with his ability to hit a target into the wind.

Winmar and Curren have had a few, but turned them over. Ross too.

Peake has struggled. Archer too.

Ledger has been involved in a couple of good passages.
