Thanks for your reply! Actually, I was at the club and they didn't put a lot of effort into convincing me at all (and after I spent 20 minutes attempting to choose seats. And perhaps it would help if the salesperson had actually been to both Etihad and the 'G (embarrassingly I've never been to see the Blues (or anyone else) at Etihad). And maybe if they actually barracked for Carlton it would help... but I digress).

I'd like to go to other games but the truth is I've only just convinced myself (and my very understanding but Essendon supporting wife) that I can afford to commit to all of Carlton's games (17). I'd like a dedicated seat because then I could arrive close to the start of the game (two young daughters and my wife would like me to not spend 6 hours at the football). The thing I like about AFL memberships is that I can get seating on centre wing... really want central seats... my eye sight's simply not good enough to sit at an end.

Seriously though, with all this complaining, you'd think I barracked for Collingwood. But then again, I can spell; and construct whole sentences.

And you have a full set of teeth.

They sure are a "unique" mob.
No... they are a bunch of self-indulgent weiners with no taste.

Carlton supporters are unique. We have taste, we have style... we are connoisseurs. When a Carlton supporter shows up some place nice, champagne falls from the sky, doors open and velvet ropes part.

When a Collingwood supporter shows up, they call the cops and lock up the silverware

I would've thought the NAB Cup would've gotten a few people to jump on the bandwagon, even though it's NAB cup...

So Richmond's overseas membership ($149) includes a subscription to AFL TV and regular member benefits. I just checked the Carlton website... missing the boat. They'd want to get on board and offer a membership like this before those of us who might purchase AFL TV, will do so without links to a Carlton Membership

I had AFL TV a couple of years back for a month. Payed out my 10 bucks for the month and was pissed off to find that I couldnt watch a live game (that was on FTA) until after the game had finished in Australia. Cancelled that with prejudice as I felt that it was a bloody rip off and went back to ESPN and a couple of live stream channels I know of.

I think it's good, but not good enough to make me part with $120. However this year, there is a legitimate market for this membership type. For the sake of the MCG deal, can someone pop into Visy Park and point this out??

The at home membership is sort of aimed at the overseas market. To be perfectly honest, if the club could guarantee that I would get every FTA Carlton game on time for an extra 60 bucks on top of the 90 I would be forking out for the at home membership, I would probably go for that one instead of my sticking with the 3 game membership I get (for the same price I might add). Stick the BBQ apron and throw in an AFL TV membership and it would be almost worth it I reckon. Call it the Overseas At Home membership.

Hey Ruffy... if you are still reading this... make this happen!
