There is a player that has been unearthed in the SANFL this year called Shillabeer. Do you reckon he could be rookie lised at your club, when you guys are looking for a forward.

Lever would be a steal at our pick. If he's available at our pick, we won't waste any time reading out his name. Read comments from his coach at he thinks he would have been in the frame for #1 if he played this year. Leadership qualities, reads the game well, and has the potential for stints in the midfield. I'm hoping he lands with us and it makes keeping pick 6 imperative IMO.

How ****ing robbed would you feel if a bolter is taken before our pick leaving one of the lock 5 to slide to us... but Melbourne end up with pick 3 compo..

The doggies are the ones that are likely to get hurt out of this ... I'd say they're super keen on Wright or McCartin and there's a fair chance one of them will make it to 5, but little chance of either being there at 6 .. Gotta feel for them a bit.

Alternatively an attempt could be made to have

Jones to Carlton
Robbo to Melbourne
Melbourne swap pick 3 with the Doggies pick 6 ...

I know that people generally seem to think dropping a couple of places in the draft is a huge deal ... I don't buy it (and yes I know the Bulldogs are desperate to move up a couple of picks -- it makes sense, this time) ... If Melbourne have a chance to gain the extra player (Robbo), they might just be interested. Personally, I don't think they will be ... I wouldn't be bc I don't really rate Robbo.

Either way works ok for me ... Most have Laverde at 7, so figure he'll make it to us!! :)

I'm on the Laverde bandwagon.

Me too!

Did anyone watch the youtube footage of Lever where he barely hit a target?? Is that something to be concerned about? Had maybe 10-15 kicks and probably only 4-5 were ok.

Speaking of youtube clips, Caleb Daniel had the most impressive of all, with Laverde a close second, in my opinion...

I wouldn't be upset with drafting Laverde. Would like to see him win more of the ball consistently though. Everyone looks good in highlights packages.

I realise what you're saying but they're not really 'highlights' packages per se .. They're just every involvement the player had throughout the matches ..

Also, as mentioned earlier, Lever missed more targets than he hit in the video I watched.

If the Pies get pick 4 (will become 5) for Beams, would they take Laverde? Because they'll get a KPP at 8/9 with Moore.

Didn't know he could play mid... I guess another string to his bow :)
Just like you I am right on the Lever bandwagon, and IMO if we keep 6/7 we should draft either a top 5 slider or Lever/Durdin. Not completely against drafting Laverde, he could turn out to be a gun but I reckon we should go for someone who could be a Jamo replacement

If that's the case then by reports Marchbank is the best Fullback prospect. And he's touted to fall anywhere between the pick 15-25.

I wonder what our recruiters think of Lamb... Midfielder/Key forward who tested great at the combine in endurance-based tests, but apparently has some attitude issues on-field. He's the grandson of one of the StK premiership players and has trained with the saints at times during the previous few summers
