Our best chance of getting a slider is 1. If Melbourne don't get gifted pick 3 and 2. Collingwood get pick 4 from Brisbane.

Collingwood would have more chance picking up a bolter due to already picking up Moore.

1. St Kilda - Petrecca
2. Melbourne - Brayshaw
3. GWS - Lever/Wright/McCartin
4. Collingwood - Bolter
5. Western Bulldogs - Lever/Wright/McCartin
6. Carlton - Lever/Wright/McCartin

Pretty sure Collingwood would still take the best available talent with such a high pick.

Except Melbourne will take McCartin you can be sure of that, GWS won't take another KPF so reckon they will go Brayshaw, Collingwood probably Lever, Dogs Wright

1- Petracca
2- McCartin
3- Brayshaw
4- Lever
5- Wright
6- Durdin/Leverde/Ahern

We will just miss out either way, is there any chance that Cockatoo might last until our 2nd??

Interesting reading back through quayles top 25 from 2012, the picks of the crop so far you would have to say are Ollie Wines, Jack Viney & Nick Vlaustin (I am excluding Jackson Macrae because it doesn't fit my point) who she rates there desire to win as there best attribute, perhaps when we are looking over every single hair of the draft candidates this key attribute of hunger for the contest isn't rated high enough.

Not convinced about Liam Jones, has all the attributes however hasn't been in Footscray's starting 22 most of the year. With that in mind which players would make way for him in our starting 22.

Vlastuin hasn't been particularly good to be honest.

Miss out in who? I'd be stoked with Laverde or Ahern

Actually our best chance would be if the WB nominate for Moore and Collingwood pass (along with no Compo pick at #3 for Frawley). This way

1. St. Kilda. Petrecca
2. Melbourne. Brayshaw (think they need more mids than a KPF with Hogan signed on until 2017)
3. GWS. Don't need s KPF. Midfield is covered too. Lever/Durdin as a KPD ???
4. Collingwood. McCartin to pair up with Cloke.
5. WB. Moore
6. Carlton. Wright/Lever/Durdin

That said my DREAM outcome would probably be

1). St. Kilda. Petrecca (Think he will go #1 no matter who has the selection even though I think St. Kilda should take McCartin from a needs basis)
2). Melbourne. McCartin. A MFC forward line with Hogan + McCartin would be pretty scary (IF they develop them correctly and retain them)
3). GWS. As I said before their midfield and KPF stocks are overflowing. Could they reach for Durdin with #3 to sore up their KPD stocks?
4). Collingwood. Ofter being out-bidded for Moore with #8 they decide to take a KPF in Wright with #4, and aim to pick up a mid with #8 instead.
5). WB. Get "stuck" with Moore with #5.
6). Carlton. BRADSHAW COME ON DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I know, but a guy can dream :D:thumbsu:

This is a definite. Under hughes we drafted a lot of athletes, not footballers and maybe guys with nice skills or a certain attribute but mentally fragile.

Lucas, watson and bootsma says a lot. None of them have that natural aggression and will to win.

Nothing wrong with good meat and potatoes players..
At pick 6 & 9, I would argue you want a little bit more - but given Richmond's drafting history it seems they specifically target those types so they probably want meat & potatoes. But personally, I'd want more flair/X factor types too.

FWIW if Pies get pick 4, I've heard Hine likes Laverde ALOT. Given they apparently wanted Bont last year before the dogs took him, it makes sense. Their midfield is tiny - Laverde makes sense for them.
