List Mgmt. 2014: The List

Watson, Bootsma and Armfield are contracted until 2015, so not quite as easy to offload as you're suggesting.

Still a little early to call on those that may be moved on but Cachia, Temay, Lucas, Rowe, White and even Ellard may be the first in the firing line.
Unless there are serious attitude problems, we'd want to retain Garlett. He's too good a player at his best.

Scotland will retire and Judd may not be far behind.
8 - 10 players, dependent on trades should just about do it but we'd want to know that we'll be getting ourselves 2 KPP players ready to go.
Not easy as we know.

Agree it will not be easy on the contracted players but they are sure to be on the table. Bootsma was a very strange one, seemed to go off the rails very shortly after getting his renewal. Maybe some interest from Perth hopefully.
I think Rowe is going somewhere and Ellard is doing enough.
I would not be at all surprised if Carrazzo joins Scotland and Judd. His body seems stuffed

Because it looks like Mick doesn't like his work rate. Very fast and exciting going forward but lacks the same enthusiasm going the other way.

That may have been the case in the first half of last season, but he's worked hard to reverse this thinking. I'd be shocked if MM looks to move him on now. Keep.

There would be many defenders that would love to have the tools available to Bootsma.
A 60+ mt. kick, a terrific leap and reach and can run like the wind..................Just to get that attitude and commitment right. Can we?

Mick wants/needs changes. Ellard and Rowe are terrific individuals but you could have said the same about Laidler and Duigan.
If contracted players don't want to move on you have to look at uncontracted players. No choice.

Carrazzo will hang around and so he should.

Yeah can't say i agree on the Yarran front either. Kid has been working harder than most this season.

Gotta keep Casboult too. Perfect lead up forward candidate imo.

Not at wishing to cut Carrazzo's career short, but if he continues to not be able to get on the park is there anyway he can retire & we not need to pay him for next year? He is on good coin & isn't really providing much for it at the moment.

Of course if he can string some games together I'd keep him in a heartbeat but he just can't seem to get his body right. I highly doubt his back has kept him out for the last 2 weeks.

I know what you mean but it's not his fault he was offered three years.

Even a self-enforced retirement would need to be negotiated somehow and it may still have impact on our list and our TPP. Not sure though.

He was offered 2. And at the time it appeared like a good deal for us. However ever since injuries have plagued him and they have been old man injuries. In hindsight 1 year deals would have been the way to go but you know what they say.

Carrots might get fed up with it too. You never know.

Some people will just hate Yarran no matter what he does.

Clearly a different player from the one we saw in the first half of 2013.

Sometimes you just have to laugh.
Come off it, J. Poster can criticize a player - even regularly - without hating him. Extreme word is extreme.

What happened to Aidan Corr? Draft pick 14 in 2012. 195cm KPD with speed, aggression and a good disposal.

I'd be looking at the KPP from GWS out of the 10+ that don't get a regular game.

Our list lacks both midfield depth and quality and of course young quality KPP. This is the year to snag Corr and Jaksch. :p

Correct, I don't hate Yarran at all. I get as excited as any supporter when he effortlessly skips across the turf. However, I do think he is of limited value in our current structure. If he is causing trouble most sides just take him deep into defence and try to get him one out. This neutralizes his running and exposes his defensive vulnerability. Been happening for more than 2 years.

If we adopt the Hawthorn style and have several defensive runners then Yarran has a role as they can't isolate all of them. But that doesn't seem to be Mick's model at Carlton.

Will be very disappointed if carlton aren't behind the scenes making a play for Sam Day. Gun.

Was it just me or did Garlett spend some time in the middle on Friday? Is this Mick's way of saying build your tank, use your speed and get some versatility in your game or bye-bye?

Maybe it's called player development.

Why do we jump to the negative option.
