No one knows about them as they don't say anything. Wouldn't the main stream crows supporter enjoy that "in your face" moment?

Make a new sponsor feel important, even just for 1 day.

Do you want Balfours to turn up at your doorstep, driving a Hertz car to take you to Foodland?

If you can show me how Port (or any other club) has announced a sponsor deal in a different manner, one that gets "in your face", I'd love to see it.

Well lets see why shall we...

Supporter engagement - port power win - No one has ever raised an issue with this prior to this article. Im sure our supporters are happy to sit by an wait for the club to train behind closed doors while we develop a game plan that will hopefully deliver the one thing all fans want, on-field success.
New sponsorship deals - Port Power win - you've already been called out on how ridiculous this statement is, won't bother.
On field sucess in 2016 - Port Power have the greater potential - this is the best of them all, what a crock of shit. Did you not see our season compared to theirs in 2015? Go support the power if you feel this way.
Losing players the club want to keep - Adelaide Crows win - Not even going to open this can of worms, its been discussed to death.
Good news stories - Port Power have released plenty more once again - What even..... good news stories, what good news stories?

Obvious troll is obvious. Go crawl back into the hole you came from.

We have a young up and coming list, seldom do they create good news stories until they perform on the field. I thought plenty of good news was had by this great club with our drafting and trading especially in comparison to what it could have been. Losing two players to a drugs suspension due to rolling the dice and losing badly is shockingly bad for the PAFC. Sponsorship deals? 25 years of continued sponsorship from a highly established and well regarded international brand is no longer good enough? lol This guy was not a crows supporter. Could have been Rucci.

I'm not a port power supporter but clearly you don't want a diverse discussion. So, I will crawl back under my rock.

25 years and 25 memberships but cool story broskii
Mate if all you're going to offer is that defeatist attitude I've seen for so long from so many on this forum (I lurked for years) then go back under your rock. I am sick to death of hearing the defeatist drivel that plagues the Adelaide supporter base. Are you aware that fagan and shutts meet with members of THIS FORUM for discussions on the club's direction and what the supporters want to see? Can you get more connected with your fans really?

If you need to have articles of useless news shoved down your throat to keep you interested and 'connected' to the club you are welcome to buy a power membership. I for one have great faith and trust in the club under fagan and I think that this season our footy will do the talking for us.

Do you feel like the AFC have engaged with you as a supporter this summer?

I don't and feel as if the PAFC have taken another step away from us in relation to being the number 1 team in this state.

Supporter engagement - port power win
New sponsorship deals - Port Power win
On field sucess in 2016 - Port Power have the greater potental
Losing players the club want to keep - Adelaide Crows win
Good news stories - Port Power have released plenty more once again

Well, you showed me.

I didn't even know about the Hertz deal and the Foodland deal was kept very quiet.

That's elite

Rucci banged on about it Sunday and to be honest I don't know why. I haven't heard or read a single complaint from anyone. I can only assume he has just decided to compare the two teams on fan engagement and drew unnecessary conclusions. For starters Port need to engage the fans more because they have fickle fans who walk away from the team when they don't perform. So they need to con them. AFC fans just want performance and even though we whinge at poor performance we stick by our team in greater numbers. Any fan will tell you, fan days and open training sessions are f%^king pointless if you don't perform on the field and ultimately are meaningless and I highly doubt it makes a difference to the membership count at the end of the day.

And herein lies the strategy behind Andrew Fagans push for 200k members. The introduction of digital memberships etc. gives the crows DIRECT access to supporters via regular updates, letters from the CEO etc. On top of this there are many ways to reach out to fans via social media etc. In this way the crows are waaaaay ahead of port, who still have to keep their prices down to attract members.

Sorry to say that you seems stuck in the 90's and think if their not doing newspaper interviews they are not "engaging". The world has moved on.

I guess you don't notice all the Hertz and Foodland signage from the press box.

Both have been regular match day sponsors for a very long time.

December 9th and 15th 2015.

So no, not sure how I could notice the Hertz deal from the press box.

And an iconic SA Brand like Foodland who would now be a 26 year sponsor should have had a big press conference or some sort of special announcement to celebrate that extension.

Sorry I feel different to you. You must be a better supporter than I am.

Go Crows

Rucci is just pissed he has been locked out from the club, like he should be after an article like that.

One thing I did notice Pyke say on AA was that they would be more inclusive of the fans next year, Reading between the lines I just think with such a huge change this year, and so much to learn they needed to concentrate on that first.

TBF, Hertz weren't a sponsor last year. It was Domain that sat behind the coach (and Leader Computers in front)

LOL Steven Trigg and his website hits say HI

The joke was about how he put importance on them. The hits in themselves are a good guide.

A good marketing (promotional) strategy is multifaceted. Not one single strand of digital marketing.

Couldn't agree more.

I'm not saying we've got it in the bag; it's just not as bad as you made out.

Admittedly, I'm the hardcore person that is signed up to multiple ways of getting my news.

So.

Perception is reality.

Welcome back Alex.:p

Perception unfortunately is reality, in life and on line and you will find it hard to escape from either if you continue to get angry at the small things people say and do. People have a long memory.

Adelaide as a city is not the problem, it’s only a problem for the few ignorant people who are unwilling to open their eyes and give it a go. It’s only a problem for people who don’t know any better and then play the ‘perception is reality card’.

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/crows-fans-a-disgrace.823977/page-8#post-20973845
That is his perception and that perception is his reality. Yours is very different but neither are voiced as a fact.

It's not but perception is reality.

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threa...o-o-of-the-crows.986653/page-10#post-26926308
Perception is reality and at the moment, the perception around the Adelaide Football Club is that it's nothing but a Boys Club.

Perception is reality and the perception about the Adelaide Crows at the moment is.....we are bit fat cheats and I hate it.

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threa...nfl-within-a-week.993301/page-7#post-27718977
Perception is reality after all.

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/minor-surgery-for-thompson.1038007/#post-30674221
I understand perception is reality and at the moment, the perception about my posting is negative but I feel that's only about 15% of my posting history.

Perception is reality Cap and the perception right now in the wider football community is - we stuffed up. Not the SANFL.

Perception is reality and the perception is - Port power are new

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threa...-etihad-stadium.1049358/page-39#post-31850516
It's all perception and perception is reality but like everything in life, that changes. It will change next week - for the good or the bad.

Marketing is like the titanic.

30% of the things you can see look very good but if you take your eye off the ball, once that extra 70% you don't see hits that ice burg, the shit hits the fan.

4 years ago, they were dead on their knees but now, the public perception (like it or not) in this state they are killing us.

Everything about this picture is inspiring except for our logo. I love how we are using the army of black crows in our marketing. Such a fierce looking bird. :)
