Mate Knight has just lapped Lyon and will lap him again before the race is over. Knight>>>>>>>>>Lyon. It's not even close.
It's like some of you didn't actually watch any football last year at all. Lyon will be lucky to play 5 games this year.
I will re gig my sidea after reviewing comments and rookie picks today.

I meant beyond as in well in front, some people may have got me confused.
Well that makes more sense!! I couldn't see how anyone would have Lyon ahead of Knight given what we saw of Knight at the end of last year.

If Lyons could run like knight then they might be about even but modern AFL is a running game and knight excels at this part of the game as well as being able to seize big moments in games ( and stick a tackle with intent )
I'm hoping CEY has a solid preseason and is given a good run in the middle. An inside player with his attributes finding his place at AFL level will be a godsend for us next year.
I think Ratkins is in the running for Menzels HFF/midfield rotation position, based on form and injury. Both up and running would be amazing, but I hope we take our time with menzel. Either way, much more talent and flair than wright. Both finding form makesus a much beter side.
IMO the club needs to do everything in its power to have Menzel up and running for round 1
We have a tough start to the season and need our best team up and running early otherwise the season could slip away from us very quickly

No guarantee Menzel's in our best team round 1 ......certainly on talent! ...but not on last years terrible form
He may take a while to be re-conditioned to the Crows culture

CEY is important to us & iam preying he has a good year and improves on last years cameo
Last PS he trained with Kerridge ......who will mentor his fitness wise this season ?
Whoever it is ....i hope Menzel also hitches his wagon to the bloke as well (VB?)
I'd rather we take it slow with menzel to try to minimise the risk that this injury drags on.

I don't really see knight & Lyons competing for the same position.
I see Lyons competing more with m crouch & cey.
Knight is competing more with mackay, Hampton, seedsman, Henderson types.

On the VFL games I saw Dean Gore play this season I'm expecting him to be getting games in front of Lyons and CEY, if not immediately I don't think it will be too long before he does.
Longer pre season for us supporters!

Menzel is an elite talent and if fit will play round 1
On your theory Betts was no certainty to play round 1 for us in 2014 and Yarren and Henderson are no certainty to play round 1 for their new clubs either

But you're saying we select players in our team on talent alone .....not form ....not fitness .....and that's just a plain ridiculous position to take
So Lever everyone agree's is a huge talent .....so on your stated position he should have been a walk up start for round 1 last year
Milera is hugely talented, as much as Menzel .....so according to you he's a walk up start for round 1 next season
I don't care how talented a player is .....if he's not in form ....if he's not AFL fit .....he doesn't get picked
Ever heard of team culture .....players themselves know who should be in a team and who's been gifted

That's a shame for players who thought if they trained hard and put their best foot forward for the new coach Pyke .....that they may have had a chance to "win" a spot

He said "if fit" for starters and you ignored that.
Secondly Menzel reportedly carried injuries through most of 2015, if that's the case and he gets fit, given his talent and a better side around him, there is no reason to believe he won't find form.
