Why would they do that...if they could take a curnow, or collins, and then use their later picks and at worst some carry over points next year for their academy selections, then theyre better off.

Ah... For some reason I thought they were committed to using their first rounder and the only affect of early bids was that they had to find more points.

If they aren't, then we should definitely force them to bid.

Given every combination has been predicted by posters, someone has to be right and that doesn't mean they are 'in the know'.

Must admit that all clubs have done a good job in preventing leaks this year. Brett Anderson says it's very difficult this year given that clubs are keeping their cards very close to their chests and after the first 3 it's virtually impossible to pick the order of the next 30.

I'm still not confident that Essendon takes 2 non-forwards in Parish and Francis as is being speculated. Would have thought they would look at bringing in a forward option to help Daniher. I can see them taking either Curnow or Weideman which will change things up significantly.
