Yep true the Hawks have the runs on the board.

I haven't seen the kid play but by the sounds as though his big selling point is his speed/endurance combination. That's something we miss on our list and started to address in last years draft.
Is he a stretch at 12 ? probably but you can't rate him against the likes of Gresham Mathieson etc.. who rack em up each game and are ultra consistent. This bloke is obviously rated so highly because of his ability to make a match changing dash, do the inspirational game changing stuff. Low stat stuff but can have a huge impact on games.

I just can't see any good reason that we'd take Rioli over Gresham. What does he have that Gresham doesn't?

Very true. I really like Gresham but I'm not sure he is the player we are after. He reminds me of jarryd blair and theres no way id take him at 12. Im concerned that gresham doesnt have the top end speed that rioli has. Riolis raw speed, elite repeat speed and near elite endurance could make him a major defensive asset in the front 50. Couple that with his crumbing ability and partner him up with titch and we finally have a balanced forward line.

Last day of trade we offered pick 12 for 20 and Yarran. Carltoon eventually did a deal with the doggies for pick 11 but missed out of Tomlinson (who they were trying to trade for).

That was reported by Emma Quayle and others then ran with it however it has been categorically stated on a few occasions since by Richmond that at no time did we ever offer up pick 12.

Shouldn't bring that sort of shit up mate, it can cause peoples blood pressure to rise rapidly.
Also that's when we had the Greg's- Miller and Beck- calling the shots.
