Genuinely. How is his kicking?

Serviceable without being damaging I'd say, but I'll defer judgement to Bishop on that one.

He'd be an excellent fit among our younger cohort. We don't have any genuine hard-nosed extractors among our recent high picks (except Vlastuin but I'm not sure he's a mid). Someone's gotta feed the ball to B Ellis, Menadue, Lennon and McIntosh for the next decade - I reckon he's the guy.

Wouldn't we get that with Townsend though?

Disturbing that you know of John Denver TJ.:p:D
I remember the joke that came out after he died...

What weighs 8 pounds and won't be plucked this Christmas?

Need another midfielder to replace Conca over time.
Did I just wake up in a universe where Conca is a regular RFC midfielder that would actually need replacing?

Edge of selection, cant or wont lose the puppy fat, whacked a guy from behind in a moment of madness, injury prone.

c'mon Reece, become a midfielder we would need to replace, I want to believe.

Servicable... Kicked at 60.8% in the TAC Cup this yr, averages under 3 tackles a game so hardly a big bodied hard nosed inside mid.

I genuinely think with more runs on the board, Mathieson is a safer pick than Oliver. Not to say that he will be better, but I think his probability of playing 200 games is higher. On one of the first pages, I said that off the bat based on his profile he seemed like out man. Admittedly I knew nothing about any of the players, but a back to back AA inside mid seemed our go. Tipped early to be out of reach so would be frothing if we got him.

Hadnt seen Mathieson speak before. Just went to a few games.

Checked out the latest episode of The Grill on the AFL website. Jesus Christ he seems dumber than a bag of hammers. I really dont want us to pick him now.

Laconic. ;)

True, he's a bit of a clearance savant though isn't he? Got 10 in the VFL for Geelong?

6 clearances: (4 centre bounce, 1 thrown in, 1 centre bounce)

I'll go through his TAC Cup season stats and work out his clearances.

So, you'd rather we didn't?

I reckon someone with a bit of flair who can finish well will make us better, sooner

He is an inside mid, so you wouldn't expect his kicking to be elite. However, his contested/uncontested split of disposals in the TAC Cup was almost even, so I would have expected better. I'd still take Ah Chee IMO, but don't have anything against Matho.
