Daniher is the best young key forward in the game apart from Cameron. I wouldn't even do a straight swap.

From an unbiased viewpoint, Hogan is better than both of them. From what I've seen he will be the best KPF within two years.

Can someone explain the comment being thrown around a lot that a club has plenty of cap room. I thought at a minimum you are required to use 95% of the cap, you may have some veterans joining the vets but that gets you a 112k break and trying to predict retirements or delistings isn't known. Maybe some front ended contracts but have a feeling they are few and far between and we wouldn't know anyway

That 5% roughly equates to $600,000, as well as potential retirements, delistings and trades. If Essendon lose Carlisle, for example, they would have planned on a 4 year, $2.5 million deal or thereabouts let's say. That means they'll have that cap space available as well.

But no one knows who is being delisted or traded , so to say we have plenty of cap room is ridiculous In fact I would be surprised if more than two teams were using only 95% port did a year ago so used 105% this year to even it out.

In Carlisle example I'm presuming you are going to try and keep him and would offer more to retain him

Most have a fair idea of who will get delisted. The last Essendon delisting I was surprised about was Ricky Dyson.

i find it ironic that a EFC supporter would want EFC to chase another injury prone player when it has the likes of Cooney an TBC ( who is a Ruck ) , wouldnt you prefer someone like Zac Clarke ( From Freo - who is out of contract )

See I am one who has never rated Leunberger ( on the Essendon Board ) as highly as others and have issues with his durubality. But considering that leunberger is a FA its a gamble worth taking - I don't rate Zac as a first ruck - Also consider that T-bell has been grossly over-paid in his current contract and is no certainty to be at EFC in 2016.

Obviously missing the point from a conversation four weeks ago. The point is "what would it take for GWS to let him go when they don't have to" since he's under contract. Not "what is he worth with regards to how he's been playing".

Sorry - In any hypothetical that has Plowman leaving ( and the assumption is that it would be pushed by Plowman ) its extremely unlikely he would get a first rounder - Especially when he is not a lock in the best 22. There is a reason why Haynes plays in front of Plowman and Buntine - Haynes is a better player.

Which is why I suspect he'd stay at GWS until his contract expires, at which point if he's looking to leave he'd probably only garner a late second round pick at best. This all being triggered by someone posting that he's 100% going to Richmond this trade period.

it'd be a bad idea for Essendon to get another injury Prone player to the club, there better off getting a Zac smith or Zac Clarke IMO but Zac Clarke has played more games than this Zac Smith so i'd go for Clarke, i dont think i'd touch Lycett as he aint a proven Ruck AFAIK.

Moore kicked 5 goals in his third game, if you ask any Collingwood fan its actually Moore>Hogan>Daniher.
Plus Daniher has that dirty mo:

I don't understand why Collingwood are going after Adam Treloar. Not that Treloar isn't good, as he will be an elite midfielder in about 2-3 years time, but Collingwood have a decent midfield and there's a couple of good young players coming through.

Collingwood are much better off going after a player like Charlie Dixon. He'd be an excellent fit alonside Travis Cloke. He's exactly the type of player Collingwood need going forward. They need another key target inside 50.

Dixon is going the Lions. That is why

They be the Big 3 Key Forwards of the AFL for at least the Next Decade

Motlop to lions
Aish to blues
Menzel to cats

Not sure if you don't rate Menzel or over rate Aish.

Menzel is averaging 1.5goals per game in 38 games in an injury riddled season at 20 years old.

Aish is no where near to this level.

Get the feeling the blues need midfielders and not 20 flanker / wingers.

Would not think there would be much between them if both on the open market.
