Problem is she lives about 2 hours from the nearest outlet. I did this last year and didn't have any issues (didn't have a debit card) so thought id be ok.

this is a weird suggestion, but could you set up a video chat call with her (borrow a neighbours phone if she doesn't have one) and then have her connected while you are at the outlet. She could show her photo ID and the credit card to the ticketek person via the video?

I may try that. I can guarantee that wouldn't have worked today, the guy was just a stubborn old knob. Refused a guy in front of me because his card numbers were worn and hard to distinguish...

I have a mate with a Q36 row Z ticket who usually stands in M10. He'd like to swap with anyone who has a standing ticket at the Punt Rd end of the ground. If you're interested in sitting instead of standing, PM me and we can organise to meet on Thursday at training or Saturday prior to the game.

Seems like I've sorted my mates issue. Now for my own problem. Like a lot of others, I'm looking for a ticket for myself, preferably standing. PM if anyone can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

First time long time.

Like a lot of people here, I've lucked out on the ballot for the 4th year in a row as a Priority 2 member - come to the conclusion that it's slim pickings after priority 1 is done and dusted.

Would love the chance at 2 seated tickets , happy to sit absolutely anywhere. Even nose bleeds. If on the odd chance someone has a couple of spare tickets please PM me. Desperate to go!

I had standing tix for both the Sydney GFs - 2012 and 2014. Sorry I can't remember what sections. In 2012 I was in the Southern Stand nearer to the Punt Rd end. The designated area was behind the seats, just a flat surface and all was open behind us. Nothing between the standing group and the food stalls, etc. It was good. I was just happy to be there. Was surrounded by Hawthorn supporters so everyone got along well. (Perhaps my experience was a little tainted by the loss )

In 2014 I was in the Southern Stand again but this time behind the seats that are usually the AFL members area . The area was designated for a larger contingent of supporters and was a bit more closed off - there was a wall behind us. There were also concrete steps for everyone to stand on and see. The atmosphere here was incredible. The large group was very vocal and being surrounded by concrete made the noise we all created seem even louder! (The huge win help too, of course!). I'd prefer that to the level 4 seats I had in 2013. We left thinking maybe if there was a ballot registration option for 'standing room only' we should choose that! ;D

Missed out in the ballot this year and am completely gutted. If you ask me any ticket is a good ticket. ;D

Any AFL Silver Hawks members out there know what was on sale this morning. I just went for "best avaliable" and got the Q19 back seat like last year. Would be upset if restricted view was avaliable.
