I'd do it myself but I don't have a spare barcode - however, surely someone who is not attending could buy the tickets for Thaihawk and email them through? Waiting for tickets to be released to the general public seems fraught with danger.

I had a few tries. Gave up some front row seats in Section 305 unfortunately. It looks like Hawthorn have been assigned bays 305 - 307 and 320 - 321. In other words, right up at the back of the stadium in an area that is nevertheless categorised as "premium seating".

Surely that's undercover seating. Mightn't be a bad thing given the weather forecast.

Possibly correct - I ended six rows from the front in bay 321, which is in a similar position to 305 but on the opposite half forward flank.

They are still offering 116 on level 1 behind the points and 215 level 2 behind goals.

I would have much preferred to sit in bay 116! Alas, I went with the 'best available' option and those categories you mentioned are categories 3 and 4, while 321 is category 1 (??).

That said, I find it amusing that I was able to snag two category 3 tickets in the front row of level one between the 50m arc and the forward pocket for the Freo/Swans game for about $50 less overall.

Anyway - all that matters is I'm in the stadium and seemingly sitting in amongst a few bays of Hawthorn supporters, which is probably a good thing as far as my personal safety is concerned.

I read the first post of yours which was a complaint

It's a complete rubbish stadium and those are the best seats

There's a reason there are $48 tickets behind the goals on ground level
