Good point. If gunston comes in it becomes difficult to play Hartung as sub. Imagine if Gunston goes down again 10 minutes in. Can Billy run out a full game?

It isn't the same I know but................. I am a Rooster supporter and one of our best was injured. He trained well all week and got the nod.........this displaced one of our young guns Hastings..............alas something went wrong and Pearce got t aken off at half time........ Young Hastings gave is all in a beaten side. ( I was so ashamed of some of the crap play) Coach is kicking himself for playing Pearce instead of sticking with Hastings.

I thought the sub rule was introduced in 2011. Stand to be corrected. We have had some good subs along the way. Breust, Simpkin & Hartung in particular have been super subs.

Re the sub for next week, I think if everyone is fit we pick the best team for the GF and then some poor person has to be the sub. If it ends up being someone odd like Suckling or Poppy or Hill then so be it. No good saying we have to have Hartung in the team because he is a good sub, then leaving out someone like Gunston or Schoey.

I think everyone is spot on here, gunston can come in and play sucklings wigh/hff role perfectly and suckers can be a super sub and kick a few late if we need a big goal. Leaving hurtang out of the team.
