Silvagni would have provided guidance on this prospect. If it is a very cheap pickup, you could do a lot worse.

He's crumbed some nice goals at NEAFL level. Clearly has a footy brain.

43 in the NEAFL this year.

Normally I'd agree with you but until we have fully built a decent list (which will take a couple of years), we just have to stop picking up speculative/under-performing players from other clubs.

Probably still a better selection than Liam Jones
I dunno mate...I was just laying down a sweet as double pun.Has anyone seen enough NEAFL games to inform us of the quality/standard it is. Similar to VFL, or less?
What about our NSW friends, BringBackSOS, or The Sheik. Can they impart any knowledge of the standard of NEAFL?

If he doesn't cost us much then let's give him a go ??
This sounds just like what we have done time & time again in the past and look where that has got us.
If the player has genuine talent and wants to fight for a game, then he is welcome to join us at Princes Park on a trial period. Anything short of that and we must be giving them a wide berth.
Line in the sand stuff here.
Excuse me for interrupting guys, but the Lamb puns take me back to his time at the Swans. Watched him closely there, and he was a dot below the classy mids we had then. Also his tank a little light. EffortA1. Didn't follow him as much at GWS, but at the right price he could be a surprise packet. Thanks for the puns.Crumbed & deep fried ??
If he has talent and the genuine drive to make it in the AFL, then he's worth a look. If he lacks those characteristics then we take a pass and look elsewhere.
People need to stop over rating our players. If Bell and Casboult played for Brisbane what would you offer for both?
But Ballsy, he has been at two other clubs and to date, has not shown this drive and enthusiasm you speak of.
I think you have answered your own question there.
Jones came to us as an explosive beast, ripping up the training track - just lacks whatever it is that would allow him to convert that to form on the field. Mayhap Lamb has been laconic in the past, but an extended run in the seniors will ignite something. He's apparently got the talent, maybe he just needs someone to give him a proper go.
Either way, I won't lose sleep - we'll get him or we won't.
