Hope this is Leigh's moment of genuinely taking ownership, because I have been a little underwhelmed with his stint thus far... at least the public face of it.

In light of this big moment, rallying troops, review and clean out of the club, I now feel I can see how the rumour I posted about (then deleted) Leigh being unpopular has started.......for those leaving, some may not have been too impressed.

I don't want to downplay Leigh's role or what he might achieve.

I am also conscious of the need to craft a narrative in such situations.

But I would hate to do that at the expense and to the detriment of loyal and hardworkign servants of this club.

Just as the premiership years were built on the foundations of professionalism that Robert Walls, and players like Craig Lambert, Roger Merret, Magic McLean established.

Any success we have in the next 5 years will owe something to players that Vossy brought in, and processes that Manny Lynch and Dean Warren helped establish, and I would hate for us to consign their contribution to the dustbin of failure for the sake of political and medai expediency.
