That must be at the start of next season, after the Harvest Moon, when he finishes his sabbatical, and becomes a man. Until then he's 23.

We gave a second rounder and a 4 year deal to Lumumba so yeah

The worth of Mitch Clark in that trade is contentious. We were stupid not to just take Varcoe though.

He turned 24 at the end of August

Wait August... That's the same month Hamish Hartlett has his birthday...

My god..

On Melksham - I've never heard a Bomber fan compliment him. Every chance he couldve been on the trade table any way. Not bothered if we get him or not

Was offered a 2 year deal by Essendon

I expect the clubs reaction to him leaving is a bit of theater though. Try and boost that perceived value.

Of course. We want to get pick 25. But really, everything is about marketing.

We asked about Varcoe but he didn't want to play for us... stuff him
Bernie didn't want to play for us at first. He had to be convinced by both Adelaide and Roos. We've been shit for a long time, no one would want to play for us when we looked like we had no hope. In those cases it's the clubs job to convince players we're worth a shot.

Thank goodness we landed Bernie. Probably won us about three games this year.

I'm still scarred by the Moorcroft and Heffernan trades to consider any Essendon player
How funny was it though when Essendon took Heffernan back?

On Melksham, I see a player who isn't that bad tbh, he just hasn't taken the next step at Essendon. A second round pick given the draft is not strong is fine by me.
