Who was last year? It was Nathan Fyfe, wasn't it.

Anderson has been overhyped on here. If he was that good then he would have played more than 10 games in three seasons, Hawthorn or no Hawthorn. Fringe player at elite club does not necessarily = regular at another club. I think a first round pick going the other way is a win for the Hawks at this stage.

Nope a kid called Daniel Neilson

Between 2008 and 2012 (too soon on '13 and '14) i count 15 from 50 players drafted in the 20's who are Best 22, with another 4-5 who are close. Not a sure thing ... if nothing else, Melksham keeps M.Jones and Terlich at Casey.

Really i'd rate Kennedy from what i've seen slightly higher than Anderson. But because Hawthorn are premiers, and collingwood with our trade history with them everyone seems to think Kennedy = Spud and Anderson = Gem

Im not saying you should trade the pick everytime either, we have done quite well with all our picks lately, but 25 for a bloke who will probably play another 100 games for us against someone who might not play 20 isnt worth burning your membership over

For sure, if the talent is there, but as I said in an earlier post: With the noted lack of depth in this draft, should we end up with #29 for Toump, it's likely the player we'd take will be the same or be just as speculative as #25.

But then Richmond just went and got Jacob Townsend for pick 70...

Words can't describe how mad this makes me. Seriously what in the world is going on?

Pick 70 for Townsend while we give 25 for Melksham. :drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk:

This is seriously, seriously a ****ed up world we live in, being a Melbourne supporter, never ever again. :fire::thumbsdown::footy::fire::cry::mad::$:thumbsdown::fire:

Townsend has played 28 unremarkable games in 4 seasons, with just the 1 this year. I've also seen him in the NEAFL a fair bit ... and he's just as unremarkable there, disposals in the teens with a goal ... and that's in a side winning most games by 10-20 goals every week. If he plays more than a game or two for Richmond I'll be shocked

I really don't want to lose out on Gold Coast's pick 3 because of Howe's nomination of the pies so......

By trying to keep things realistic to benefit all clubs, would this work?:
Melbourne give: Howe-->Collingwood
Pick 64-->Collingwood
Pick 6-->Gold Coast
Gold Coast give: Pick 3-->Melbourne
Collingwood give: Pick 26-->Gold Coast
Ben Kennedy-->Melbourne

Melbourne receive: Pick 3, Kennedy
Gold Coast receive: Pick 6, Pick 26
Collingwood Receive: Howe, Pick 64

In other news, Cam McCarthy showing everyone what a little bitch he is, i read that mile out.

Hope he goes to Freo and they pay him a fortune anyway, only doing us a favour.

I would trade pick 25 to GWS to let Cam McCarthy go

He's been injured for a fair chunk of it to be fair. Plays hard, thats what i like about him, could have played a forward defensive role with us IMO, health permitting.

For pick 70, give me him over 25 for Melksham every single time.

I like it but no way GC does that, they dont need 2 more kids at the club they want senior talent

Dirt is worth more than pick 70 in this draft which is why i'm surprised GWS didn't demand more. but then again maybe GWS really don't care for him leaving at all

GWS are culling their list, think I heard somewhere they still need to cut 8 players from the list this year or something so its pretty much delisting him early
